Goldberg is one of the most notorious wrestlers of his generation. The former football player made a name for himself in the wrestling world through the defunct promotion, WCW. Goldberg then made the jump to WWE, where he continued to be treated as a legend. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2018.

Though he maintains his chiseled physique, fans have to imagine that at 56 years old Goldberg is readying himself to retire.
"You Never Say Never, Especially In Wrestling"
Goldberg recently did an interview with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated. In it, he discussed the possibility of having one last match, in or out of WWE. He expressed his feelings that WWE "owes him a retirement match."
You never say never, especially in wrestling, and they owe me one. That’s all I can say. I made a deal with the devil and I did my job, and they owe me a retirement match. At the end of the day, at 56, it’s not something where I’m sitting by the phone waiting for a call. I’ve got a few ideas of how to do it on my own, possibly in Israel. So never say never.
Goldberg went on to express his gratitude for wrestling fans and their undying passion for the sport.
The tenacity of wrestling fans is unparalleled. I’m not going to sit here and say that I owe them everything, but I sure as hell am close. It’s an honor to be remembered and supported by such a group of people. There is such a fever pitch in the passion of the fans. To be part of that, I’m blessed.
