Santos Escobar was a part of WWE's WrestleMania 39 Launch Party on Thursday and teased a main roster call-up during an interview with Corey Graves. If he's foreshadowing the future, he may be among the next NXT stars in an already long line of NXT stars that get an opportunity on Raw or SmackDown under Triple H.
During his interview, Escobar said he was part of the launch party to represent his family from Mexico and noted that and said that he represents Lucha Libre wrestling. He added, "This year, WrestleMania might just get grander, because Santos Escobar and Legado del Fantasma might just make our WrestleMania debut and call this party Santos-Mania!" The timing of his interview is intriguing as he's currently going through a storyline with Tony D’Angelo where the two have been feuding and will have a match next week. If Santos loses, he is gone from NXT. If he wins, he frees his faction-mates from the control of D'Angelo. That could be the setup that brings him to either Raw or SmackDown and he's making it sound like his faction is coming with him.
Escobar is viewed by many as a bonafide star. WWE is always on the lookout for their next big Latin star and many behind the scenes feel he has the potential to be that guy. He has the look, the promos and in-ring skills to really represent that fan base well and Triple H might see that. If he does get the call-up, there will be big things expected of him and unlike a former Latin star like Andrade who had trouble cutting promos, Escobar is ready to roll in that regard.

Will WWE Wait Until WrestleMania?
WrestleMania isn't until April. It's unlikely WWE waits that long to bring him up to the main roster. Instead, he could get the call not long after his match in NXT. WWE may want to air a series of vignettes prior to his arrival and then build up a program for him to ensure his first WrestleMania match is a big one.
