Sami Zayn Will Get His Roman Reigns Rematch At A WWE Live Event

Sami Zayn's Bloodline journey hit a major roadblock at Elimination Chamber in what became one of the most anticipated main events in recent WWE history. Despite having the support of his hometown in the match, Zayn came up short, largely because for the umpteenth time, other members of The Bloodline got involved in the match to make sure Roman Reigns' 900+ day run continues.

While there was a hope WWE would add Zayn to the Undisputed WWE Universal Title match at WrestleMania, it appears the promotion is going a different way with it. Despite walking away from Zayn last week on Raw, the tease that Kevin Owens will eventually forgive him and pair up to take down The Usos at WrestleMania continues.

That doesn't mean Zayn won't get a second chance to take down Reigns, though. In fact, it has been revealed the former Honorary Uce will get another shot at The Tribal Chief's titles later this week. The news that Zayn will be getting an untelevised rematch was revealed by the venue in which the big match will take place. Toronto's Coca-Cola Coliseum.

The Road To WrestleMania

“Canada’s own @SamiZayn takes on @WWERomanReigns in a rematch for the Undisputed @WWE Universal Championship,” the account for the venue tweeted. Nothing about the match has been announced by WWE, but that's probably because it is taking place at an untelevised live event. It appears the only reason the venue has advertised the match ahead of time is to shift a few more tickets.

Big matches happen on live events all the time, of course, but this one is massive. No, the odds of Zayn winning this one aren't that great. They're almost zero. Unless WWE is having serious second thoughts about its Elimination Chamber decision, of course. There have been reports since that some are worried about the reactions Cody Rhodes has been getting since Zayn lost. Rhodes and Reigns will finally come face to face for the first time on SmackDown, 24 hours before Reigns faces Zayn in Toronto.
