NXT Superstar Ridge Holland has shared photos of his legs as he recovers from severe injuries he suffered back in October 2020.

Wrestling's results might be pre-determined, and the action in the ring is staged, for the most part. However, that doesn't eliminate the risk. Wrestlers suffer injuries all the time, some of which are severe, career-ending, and maybe even worse. Try telling Ridge Holland what he does for a living is "fake" and he will likely respond by showing you some pretty brutal photos proving the contrary.

Back in October 2020, Holland was tasked with catching Oney Lorcan who had jumped out of the ring in his direction. Upon doing that, the NXT star suffered a number of incredibly painful injuries to both of his legs. Holland broke his ankle, dislocated his knee, and ruptured his patellar tendon. He was stretchered out of the arena and hasn't been seen on TV since.

That's understandable since the injuries Holland suffered will require a long recovery time. He has demonstrated that by sharing the aforementioned photos on social media. One photo shows Holland's ankle in a very bad way, another features some serious-looking stitches in his leg, and a third shows both legs, each in different casts. Holland doesn't mention when exactly the photos were taken.

Many of you reading this might well be unfamiliar with Holland. The former rugby player made a name for himself in NXT UK but had only wrestled five matches stateside before suffering his brutal injury. It was previously reported that Holland was supposed to be a part of the group Pat McAfee assembled to take on Undisputed Era and compete in a WarGames match last November.

There were clearly big plans for Holland in NXT, hence the impact he made on the brand shortly after he arrived. As for when we will see him next, that remains unclear. Even though it has been more than six months since Holland suffered his injuries, odds are it will be at least another six months before he is ready to return to the ring. Knee injuries normally carry long recovery times, and Holland's was even more brutal than most.
