If you've like many who have been waiting for Dark Side of the Ring to return, you won't have to wait much longer. A smash hit among wrestling fans, Season 3 is just under a month from returning.
The show has a huge following among wrestling fans who can't seem to get enough of the twisted and often depressing side of the wrestling business. Season 1 and 2 of Vice's Dark Side of the Ring became a massive hit and fans demanded a third season. Despite a pandemic, it looks like Vice has delivered and in a big way.
Focusing the newly-released trailer on six episodes, the teaser features an inside look at the drama that surrounded Brian Pillman, Nick Gage, WCW and NJPW’s Collision In Korea, The Ultimate Warrior, Grizzly Smith, and The Dynamite Kid. And, if speculation that future shows will also include discussion about FMW (Frontier Martial-Arts Wrestling), XPW (Xtreme Pro Wrestling), Ion Croitoru (aka Bruiser Bedlam and Johnny K-9), the WWE Plane Ride from Hell, and Chris Kanyon, this could be one of the show's more intriguing seasons.
The trailer also showcases some of the cast that will offer their insights, thoughts and analysis on each subject. With names like Chris Jericho and Jim Cornette returning, there will also be commentary from Jake Roberts, Jon Moxley, Eric Bischoff, David Arquette, and Warrior’s ex-wife, Shari Tyree.
When Will It Premiere?
Vice TV has announced season three of “Dark Side of the Ring” will premiere on Thursday, May 6 at 9pm ET. The first episode will focus on the Brian Pillman story.
As the show gains momentum, one has to wonder what else Vice can come up with if there's going to be a Season 4. It's likely fans will be starving for it after Season 3 ends.
