Following his incredible match with MJF on Collision this past weekend, Kenny Omega said that his condition isn't what it used to be, but now MJF is here to take the ball, run with it and represent AEW for years to come. Unfortunately, for Omega and AEW, MJF isn't commiting to sticking around.

The AEW World Champion has been referencing the "bidding war of 2024" for years, teasing a WWE run when he becomes a free agent. While it was largely done to attract hate as a heel, he is now a babyface, so alluding to it again recently is an interesting creative choice. MJF's contract was believed to end at the end of the 2023 calendar year, and while mixed reports suggest he may already have a new AEW deal in place, others say nothing has been finalized.

After defeating Omega during Saturday night's episode of Collision, MJF again said he's unsure what his future holds. Years ago, when he aspired to reach reach the same level as performners like Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe. Giving thanks to Omega for the match, he noted, "I'll be honest. I still don't know what I'm gonna do for the bidding war of 2024. But what I do know. But what I do know is that when I get the opportunity to wrestle the best bout machine. Kenny Omega, it tends to sway my opinions a little bit."

The reaction from the crowd was immediate boos, until he hinted that he might be leaning towards staying if matches like the one he just had were going to be part of his future in the company. It sounds like he's taking stock of the pros and cons, making list of reasons to go and reasons to stay, and Omega gave him a good one to stick around.

Is MJF Making Himself More Attractive To WWE By The Match?

He noted that he was tired and had never wrested this much, but with every match that MJF has, WWE has to be thinking he could make for a good fit. And, because there's no denying how close he is with Cody Rhodes, there's certainly going to be interest, at least if Cody has any input.

In an interview with UPI's Wade Sheridan, MJF stated his intention to sign with the company that offers him the highest financial deal. Now that Endeavor is running things, that could influence the contract negotiations. Regardless of where he lands, MJF's superstar status is undeniable.
