Maybe the impression was more to suggest that Alexa Bliss has two personas. Maybe, like Bray Wyatt, Bliss has multiple personalities. Still, it looked like The Fiend was on Raw Monday night, but not in the normal sense of the meaning. It seemed like he was present, but only because he took the form of his new Firefly Fun House companion.
To end Monday's Raw, Bliss was set to square off with Asuka but the match didn't get very far before it was hit with a major swerve. Early in the contest, the lights went out and the show cut to a commercial. When the program returned, the Bliss who started the bout was gone and in her place was a new Bliss.
This Bliss had changed clothes into an all black theme. She had black lipstick and black eye shadow and she moved and wrestled an awful lot like The Fiend. She was dominant, nearly impervious to pain and she squashed the Raw Women's Champion in a matter of minutes, pinning The Empress of Tomorrow with ease in a non-title match.
There's been no character to wrestle like this with the exception of The Fiend and clearly Bliss was not herself. That is, until the match was over. She was staring down the camera and she instantly switched back to her playground attire. The show closed as she said, "Let Me In" in The Fiend's voice.
A Completely Unexpected Swerve
Fans have been wondering how WWE was going to proceed with The Fiend character after he was burned alive by Randy Orton. Would he be back as himself? Would he appear totally scarred and charred? Instead, it seems like WWE may be going the route that Wyatt can inhabit Bliss and control her from inside.
This may not be the final chapter in this story, but it certainly is an interesting one.
