On this day four years ago, Odell Beckham Jr. made himself into an overnight star by making one of the best catches we have ever seen.
It was Sunday Nov. 23, 2014 against the Dallas Cowboys when no.13 made a spectacular play that is still remembered even four years later. The play occurred on the first play of the second quarter.
Giants quarterback, Eli Manning, threw the ball 50 yards down field towards Beckham. The Ball was thrown out of bounds which made Beckham have to reach back over his head to receive the ball.

The catch had everyone in the stadium shocked when they saw what just happened. The play even had Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth speechless. It was the first time the anyone had ever heard of Beckham's name.
That play started a wave of attention and fame for Beckham. Some might say all of that has gone to his head, but his numbers say otherwise. He has been one of the best receivers in the NFL since that play four years ago.
Later that season in 2014, Beckham won the rookie of the year award. He also was elected to his first Pro Bowl in his rookie season. He has also been elected to the Pro Bowl for three straight seasons(2014-2016).
Although, his numbers are down this season. But, this mainly due to the fact that the Giants are having a very poor season. It has been tough for Beckham to put up the same type of numbers he has been able to produce in the past.
Manning has shown that he isn't what he once was before. He is also the second most sacked quarterback in the league, so he's not getting much help. Which in turn, means he isn't able to connect with Beckham for big plays down the field like they have been use to.
Regardless of this season, Beckham is still one of the best receivers in the league. So we should all be honored that we have been able to watch him make incredible plays over these last four years, and the plays he will continue to make in the rest his career.
WHAT THIS MEANS
Beckham has been making stunning play after play ever since that moment exactly four years ago. He has made the Giants one of the most entertaining teams to watch, because of the type of catches he is able to make.
I will admit, he does say and do some questionable things away from the field. But, that doesn't diminish the quality of player he is on the field. Because there's no question about his talent and how good of a player he is.
