CM Punk has been in the news a lot this past week. First there were the reports that he wanted to return to AEW. Now, thanks to Fightful Select, a lot more has been revealed. According to them, the "working plan" is for Punk to return to AEW on the June 21st Dynamite emanating from Chicago. Interestingly, this is the go home show before the second ever Forbidden Door pay-per-view. Does that mean we could possibly see CM Punk on the card?
It hasn't just been this week that CM Punk has had his name out there in the forefront of wrestling headlines. A few weeks back came his controversial Instagram post where he spoke out against Tony Khan and Jon Moxley, and called Chris Jericho "a liar and a stooge." Punk has been out of AEW since his post All Out media scrum meltdown last September, which led to a backstage fight with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks. It was reported that Jericho had approached Punk and told him he was a cancer to the company. In the weeks following, Chris Jericho, along with Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley, held talent meetings and became the locker room leaders who helped steer AEW through the controversy.
Now, according to Fightful, if CM Punk is indeed coming back to AEW, he'll have to sit down and have a face-to-face meeting with Chris Jericho first. It's hoped that there they'll be able to work out their differences.

Will The Rest Of The AEW Locker Room Accept CM Punk If Chris Jericho Does?
Chris Jericho and CM Punk know each other well, having worked together and feuded in WWE. It has been reported that a majority of AEW talent don't want Punk back in the promotion. If Punk's meeting with Jericho goes well, could that change not only his mind about Punk, but ease everyone else's worries as well? Obviously, the biggest meeting Punk will need to have is with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.
If everything works out, look to see CM Punk back on your TV screens by this summer. There has already been some fun fantasy booking of Punk vs. Omega at All In, while Dax Harwood has openly suggested Punk and FTR should battle The Elite there. More importantly than all of that is, can CM Punk stay out of trouble this time?
