AEW has celebrated the countdown to Fight Forever entering its final week by revealing the full launch roster for its debut game. 52 wrestlers to choose from when the game launches, or 54 if you include the two pre-order bonus versions of Matt Hardy, and while most of the big names are in there, as has been quickly highlighted by a few fans, that are some very notable omissions.
Who's In And Who's Not?
Kenny Omega, MJF, Jade Cargill, Wardlow, all big names that were always going to be in there. Inclusions that might be a little more surprising are CM Punk, partly due to when he signed but also because it looked like he had left as recently as a few months ago, and Cody Rhodes. Despite having been a WWE Superstar for more than a year, Rhodes really is in Fight Forever.

You will even be able to wrestle as Aubrey Edwards, which might make some of the missing stars a little harder to swallow for some fans. Shawn Spears has already replied with a simple “Lol” to the post. Spears, who has basically been with AEW since its inception, questioned whether he would be in the game or not.
Where Are The Acclaimed?
Other missing wrestlers that really should be in the game include, but are certainly not limited to, The Acclaimed, Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, Swerve Strickland, Samoa Joe, Claudio Castagnoli, and The Gunn Club. The good news is the first lot of DLC for Fight Forever, and who it will include, was confirmed before the roster had been revealed. FTR, The Bunny, Keith Lee, Hook, and Danhausen will all be added to the game post-launch.
It has also been suggested AEW will opt for updates rather than annual installments. If so, you'd have to think all of the names mentioned above and more will eventually be added as Fight Forever's roster grows exponentially. Hopefully that's what happens, and hopefully it'll be a mix of free and paid DLC so fans don't have to keep paying for new wrestlers if and when they're added to Fight Forever.
