Ruthless Aggression was an era when big guys dominated the business. Several main event level stars, as well as mid-carders, had amazing physiques who defined Vince McMahon's ideal image of professional wrestlers. While some well-built guys in the Ruthless Aggression Era went on to become gigantic names, some failed to live up to the expectations, despite having impressive physiques.

9 Scott Steiner

Scott Steiner was primarily a WCW star, and he had a significant run in that now-defunct company. Although Steiner didn't sign for WWE right after WCW went out of business, he eventually arrived in WWE in late 2002, making him a Ruthless Aggression Era wrestler.

The Big Poppa Pump was already forty years old back then, but he still maintained his shredded physique. Steiner's WWE stint lasted just two years, as he departed in 2004.

8 Nathan Jones

NATHAN JONES

Nathan Jones had all the attributes to be a big star in WWE. The Aussie wrestler was a big man standing nearly seven feet, and looked like a true monster. Nevertheless, his WWE career in the Ruthless Aggression Era didn't even last one year.

Jones' billed weight was over 300 pounds. Despite his gigantic size, he maintained a lean muscle mass when he was a wrestler, making his physique one of the impressive ones from that era.

7 Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley's WWE debut

Well, Bobby Lashley is still one of the well-built men in the WWE roster today even at the age of forty-four. Needless to say, he has maintained his physique for years. His first WWE run started back in 2005 when he was young and in his prime and therefore, his physique was also one of the best in the business.

Lashley was a great mid-carder in the Ruthless Aggression Era. The Almighty won the ECW World Title twice and the United States Title once in his first stint.

6 Chris Masters

Arguably one of the most imposing physiques of the era, Chris Masters made his mark initially for his stature. Given his size and swiftness in the ring, he was anticipated to make it big in the company. Likewise, he also received a significant push in his early days, especially for the Masterlock challenge. He was so confident about his Masterlock submission that he offered a reward to anyone who would break the submission.

Nonetheless, he lost his momentum after the early push. He would return to WWE years later with improved ring skills and a leaner look, but his return did not last long.

5 Triple H

HHH

Triple H was one of the few stars in the Ruthless Aggression Era, who had managed to remain at the top after the Attitude Era. The Game headlined many big shows in this era, including WrestleMania on multiple occassions. He was a prominent heel back then, leading the most successful faction of the era, Evolution.

As Triple H was in his prime in the 30s, he kept an incredible physique throughout the Ruthless Aggression Era and even adding muscle mass to his already impressive frame.

4 Goldberg

GOLDBERG

Perhaps Goldberg's physique was at the peak in his WCW days when he also demonstrated superhuman strength every week. When Goldberg had arrived in WWE in the Ruthless Aggression Era, he was still in his heyday. Even though he wasn't as shredded as he was in WCW, Goldberg still looked huge with his big traps.

Goldberg's Ruthless Aggression Era run was outstanding because he dismantled some big names of the company with ease, including Evolution members. He also won the World Heavyweight Championship once.

3 John Cena

John Cena competed in bodybuilding shows before pursuing a career as a wrestler, so WWE primarily hired him for his physique and look. From his OVW days, where he wrestled as The Prototype, he looked in great shape. When he made his official main roster debut as John Cena, he certainly had one of the best physiques among all rookies in the business.

Cena's physique only improved in the Ruthless Aggression Era. He still maintained his big muscles after the Ruthless Aggression Era, as he became the poster boy of WWE in the PG Era.

2 Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar was called the 'Next Big Thing' after making his debut in 2002, and he certainly lived up to the tag name. Weighing nearly 300 pounds, Lesnar's physique was on another level in his 20s. His big traps were the most notable body parts of his physique, other than his impressive back muscles.

Lesnar was not just a show but also a freak athlete, who would lift big guys without any issue including delivering an F5 to Mark Henry in 2002. Lesnar won the first World Title in his debut year, becoming the youngest WWE Champion.

1 Batista

Dave-Bautista

Without a shadow of a doubt, Batista had the best physique in the business when he debuted in the Ruthless Aggression Era, especially in the initial years of his career. With a bodybuilding background, Batista certainly looked like a monstrous freak in the ring.

Batista had a well-rounded physique with great body composition. He captured the World Title numerous times in this era, and he also won the 2005 Royal Rumble match.
