Scott Steiner is remembered even more for his wild antics outside of the wrestling ring than his career as an outstanding wrestler. WCW was the place where Steiner found his greatest success in both tag action with his brother Rick and singles action as a top heel at the end. Fans loved to witness Steiner’s promos in 2000 since he was viewed as a loose cannon without a filter.

10 Loved: Booker T
Scott Steiner and Booker T had similar careers in WCW. Both guys broke out as tag team wrestlers, each teaming with their brothers respectively to create the Steiner Brothers vs. Harlem Heat rivalry. Booker and Scott were viewed as the better wrestlers of their tag teams to lead to bigger singles runs.

The two wrestlers became friends towards the end of WCW when feuding over the WCW Championship. Booker and Scott put WCW on their back even if the company was at the point of no return. They loved working together again in TNA as important members of the Main Event Mafia.
9 Had heat with: Eric Bischoff
Eric Bischoff became one of the biggest enemies of Scott Steiner publicly due to their TNA relationship, but the issue started back in WCW. Steiner stated in social media rants that he never respected Bischoff in WCW since he didn’t stick to his word.
The tension started to grow in TNA when Steiner felt Bischoff was disrespecting him and others on the roster that were successful before the changes. Eric’s son Garett has even been trashed by Steiner in public to show how deep the disdain travels.
8 Loved: Kevin Nash
Scott Steiner has personal issues with some of Kevin Nash’s best friends like Triple H and Shawn Michaels, but that didn’t take away from his relationship with Nash. The two became friends in WCW with a shared background story of growing up in Michigan.
WCW found huge success with the Steiner Brothers vs. Outsiders tag team program. Nash and Steiner grew even closer in TNA when having fun together in the Main Event Mafia faction. It allowed them to let loose with fun segments that had great importance in the show.

Hulk Hogan and Scott Steiner have seen their relationship reaching the point of having to get security involved. Steiner snapped when it came to Hogan’s presence in TNA and causing the company to fall apart with a negative environment growing.
The TNA departure of Steiner saw him unloading on Hogan for his decisions. Fans learned that Steiner’s unhappiness with Hogan started back in WCW as Scott revealed the power of Hogan held down many potential stars. Hulk’s wife claimed that Steiner approached her at an airport, which caused security and WWE to get involved and him being banned from attending the Hall of Fame.
6 Loved: Jeff Jarrett
The friendship between Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett formed in 2000 when both worked together as top heels in WCW. Each man waited over a decade to get such an opportunity, and they made sure to have the times of their lives as main eventers.
Jarrett and Steiner became close in WCW and decided to continue working together. The success of TNA saw Jarrett bringing Steiner to the company shortly after his WWE run ended. Steiner even admitted in interviews that he most enjoyed working for TNA when Jeff was in charge.
5 Had heat with: Mike Tenay
Scott Steiner had minor heat with Mike Tenay for one of his decisions on commentary. WCW fans grew used to the hurricanrana move under the name of the Frankensteiner. Scott was the only one to execute the move for WCW until the cruiserweight division took off.
Tenay started using the term hurricanrana and it was enough to upset Steiner. The story shared by Tenay claimed he was terrified even though Steiner didn’t threaten him. Tenay tried to use the Frankensteiner name more to appease Scott.
4 Loved: Sting
The WCW run of Sting saw him become the unofficial leader of the company. All the top stars before the Monday Night Wars had great relationships with the legend. Sting formed close bonds with Lex Luger and both members of the Steiner Brothers as the faces of the company for a short while.

Scott Steiner loved working with Sting and had strong respect for his work. The interviews of Steiner all showcase appreciation for the work and star power of Sting. This was another duo to have fun times together in TNA’s Main Event Mafia faction.
3 Had heat with: Ric Flair
The first major main event opportunity as a singles star for Scott Steiner saw him working with Ric Flair. Steiner hoped to use the match to move up the card as Sting and Lex Luger did in prior years. This match was however a huge disappointment that ended the push.
Steiner stated he felt like Flair intentionally sabotaged him and shared vicious promos running down Ric without getting it approved by management. The issues between them continued with Steiner trashing Flair along with his close friends Triple H and Shawn Michaels for trying to hold power during his WWE run.
2 Loved: Buff Bagwell
WCW initially placed Scott Steiner into a tag team with Buff Bagwell after Scott joined the New World Order. Both men were viewed as huge pieces of WCW’s future when working together. The chemistry was there as one reason to bring them together.
Even the wrestling careers of Steiner and Bagwell after WCW have seen them united on a few occasions. Both wrestlers often appeared on indie shows after WCW ended in programs since they loved working together. Another shared fun fact about Steiner and Buff would be that they are both unofficially banned from WWE.
1 Had heat with: Diamond Dallas Page
The issues between Scott Steiner and Diamond Dallas Page grew more personal than petty comments and gossip. Steiner was unhappy with DDP’s wife Kimberly Page reportedly snitched on Tammy Sytch for bringing drugs into the WCW women’s locker rooms.
The timing saw Steiner rip apart Dallas and Kimberly in unscripted shoot promos. Readers of the Death of WCW book learned that DDP confronted Steiner about the comments backstage, leading to a fight. Steiner was so out of control that wrestlers backstage felt Page might have died if the fight wasn’t broken up in the locker room.
