The AEW women’s roster is jam-packed full of talented individuals who unfortunately don’t quite get the TV time that they deserve. With a bloated roster, AEW’s women’s division sometimes feels rushed and messy.

With two singles titles, the AEW Women’s World Championship and the AEW TBS Championship, it does provide an opportunity for more than one woman to get some spotlight. There are several names up and down the card who look set to likely win one of these belts (or even a potential newly created set of Women’s Tag Team Titles if Tony Khan decides that AEW needs yet another new championship), at some point before 2024. That being said, there are also certain names on the roster who won’t be picking up some gold before this year is over.
10 Will: Britt Baker
Despite not being a champion for quite some time now, Britt Baker still feels like the number one star in the AEW women’s division. For this reason alone, she is one of the most likely names to find herself with a prize at some point soon.
Whether it be feuding with her current friend Jamie Hayter over the World Title, or working to elevate the TBS Championship, it feels like a sure-fire thing that she won’t be without a belt for much longer.
9 Won’t: Nyla Rose
Ever since her AEW Women’s World Title reign a few years back, Nyla Rose hasn’t been able to find any consistent momentum. A few challenges for titles here and there haven’t felt particularly thrilling, with fans knowing that she was going to lose.
This trend looks to continue despite Rose being someone who should be the resident dominant monster over the roster. Unless AEW decides to change up her character with a face turn or a gimmick change, don’t expect her luck to improve.
8 Will: Kris Statlander
When Kris Statlander eventually returns to injury, she feels like one of the top candidates to dethrone Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship, ending her undefeated streak.
Statlander is more of a “homegrown” AEW star than most, and the company has rewarded many of her fellow AEW “originals” with titles. If injuries hadn’t gotten in the way, it feels likely that Statlander would have broken through already.
7 Won’t: Thunder Rosa
Although Thunder Rosa had to relinquish the AEW Women’s World Title due to injury, it feels unlikely with how many other top stars have stepped up that she will win back the belt she never lost.

The most likely scenario is probably an unsuccessful title challenge. When looking past 2024, Rosa could well find some momentum and win back a title, but it won’t be before 2024, that's for sure.
6 Will: Willow Nightingale
Willow Nightingale is someone who is getting better reactions every time she walks out onto the stage, even without too much character development or storyline. She is naturally likable and that alone will lead her to AEW gold.
Whether it be in AEW or even in ROH, Nightingale will win a championship under the booking of Tony Khan, as he won’t be able to ignore her natural connection with the audience, matched with her strong ability inside the ropes as a top babyface.
5 Won’t: Julia Hart
When Julia Hart initially aligned with The House of Black, things were looking up for her, and fans hoped that she would become a big part of the women’s division. Instead, she has been confined to being ringside for the House of Black and wrestling matches on Dark.
It doesn’t look like she will get a significant singles push any time soon despite always getting good reactions and showing a lot of promise in the ring. If Hart is to win a title, it will be in the future - not before 2024.
4 Will: Hikaru Shida
Hikaru Shida is a favorite of Tony Khan, even if she has had an up and down time on occasion. Shida is still the longest-reigning AEW Women’s World Champion of all time, which is an indication of her popularity.
Whether it be in ROH or gunning for the TBS Championship, expect Shida to find her way to title success at some point. She has always been naturally over with the crowd, and always puts on good matches. She would be a perfect name to dish out weekly open challenges for the TBS Title down the line.
3 Won’t: Serena Deeb
The time for Serena Deeb winning the AEW World Title has passed, as it should have happened back when she had a lot of momentum over the last couple of years.
It feels now, with the new names that have arrived and the younger stars that are climbing up the card, that Deeb will work to put over these names rather than winning a title.
2 Will: Saraya
Saraya is already one of the most notable names on the AEW women’s division, and it feels only a matter of time before she becomes the AEW Women’s World Champion.

She is a recognisable name and a bigger star than most, and for that reason alone it feels very likely that she will win some gold before 2024. She is steadily becoming the top heel in the division, and that will be capped off with a title win.
1 Won’t: Riho
Riho may be the first ever AEW Women’s World Champion, but her inconsistent appearances and the rise of new names means that it is unlikely for her to find her way to the top again.
The most she can hope for is probably the TBS Title, but there are still many names ahead of her in the line, meaning that it will be after 2024 for Riho if she is to win anything again.
