Obviously, no one forgets that Michael Jordan won six championship rings, no one forgets the championship victories of Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant or Shaquille O'Neal, and it goes without saying that fans remember very well that LeBron James and Stephen Curry possess multiple championship rings. The point is, fans remember the megastars, the men who led the team, but what about the supporting cast?

Throughout NBA history, many players have been part of championship teams, but their role was secondary, they spent most of their time on the bench, or contributed little to that championship victory. So, there are many players you probably forgot have championship rings, and below are 10 of them.
10 Greg Foster
Greg Foster won a championship ring with the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2000-01 season, and it's no wonder you've forgotten him, as even Lakers fans themselves may have forgotten him. Foster played just eight games as a starter in the regular season, and in the playoffs he barely played three minutes, grabbing one rebound and committing one foul.
Several extremely talented players like Karl Malone or Charles Barkley never won a Championship, but sometimes you just need to be a lucky guy like Greg Foster.
9 Dominique Jones
Dominique Jones was the 25th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, he had potential, but ended up having a career of only three years. He played 80 games, only four as a starter, averaging 3.1 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game, with a Player Efficiency rating of 11.9.
Despite that career, Dominique Jones can say he has a championship ring, as he was part of the Dallas Mavericks squad in the 2010-11 season, although he did not play a single game in the playoffs.
8 Brian Scalabrine
Brian Scalabrine was a reserve power forward for his entire 11-year NBA career. He played 520 games, averaging 13 minutes per game. His stats were mediocre, as per 36 minutes he averaged 8.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists, so it's not surprising that his Player Efficiency Rating was 7.7.
What is surprising is that Scalabrine won a championship ring, as he played for the Boston Celtics in the 2007-08 season.
7 Wayne Simien
Maybe this is the first time you read the name Wayne Simien, and frankly his NBA career was fleeting and lackluster, but somehow, he won a championship ring. He was selected by the Miami Heat with the 29th overall pick in the 2005 NBA Draft, and that same season the Heat were crowned NBA Champions.

Simien played only two games in the playoffs, less than three minutes against the Chicago Bulls in the first round, and just over four minutes against the New Jersey Nets in the conference semifinals. Simien was scoreless on three field goal attempts.
6 Austin Daye
The San Antonio Spurs' last championship victory featured Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and a young Kawhi Leonard.
With that said, it's hard to remember the other members of the team, especially Austin Daye, who played just one regular season game as a starter, and in the playoffs barely played six minutes against the Dallas Mavericks in the first round, scoring no points and grabbing one defensive rebound.
5 Mike Penberthy
Mike Penberthy is an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Lakers, but what people forget is that he was also a former NBA player, and even won a championship ring, also with the Lakers.
Mike Penberthy was part of the Lakers roster in the 2000-01 season, seeing action in 53 regular season games, averaging 5.0 points, 1.3 assists and 1.2 rebounds per game. Penberthy did not participate in the playoffs, but he still received a ring.
4 Jordan McRae
It's hard to forget that 2015-16 NBA season, when the Golden State Warriors had a historic 73-9 record, but still couldn't beat LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals.
King James had a performance for the ages, while Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love also played very well. It's no wonder people have forgotten that Jordan McRae was part of that squad. The Cavaliers signed him down the stretch of the season, and McRae played a total of 17 games with the team.
3 Darko Miličić
Darko Miličić was the second overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, but unfortunately, he turned out to be a total bust. This Serbian center played 468 games in the NBA, averaging 6.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 0.9 assists and 1.3 blocks.
At least Darko Miličić has something that many players wish they had, a championship ring, which he got in the 2003-04 season, playing for the Detroit Pistons.
2 Dickey Simpkins
Dickey Simpkins was a power forward who played seven years in the NBA. He was never an outstanding player, in fact, of his 327 games played, 100 were as a starter.

At the time, there were many better players than Simpkins, especially power forwards, but he was fortunate to be on the right team at the right time. Dickey Simpkins was a three-time NBA champion, as he was present at the Chicago Bulls' second three-peat, but few remember him.
1 Carl Herrera
Carl Herrera was born in Trinidad and Tobago, but grew up in Venezuela and became a Venezuelan, becoming the first Venezuelan in history to play in the NBA. Herrera earned not one but two championship rings, as he played for the Houston Rockets between 1991 and 1995.
In the playoffs en route to those two titles, Herrera played 17 games, averaging 4.5 points and 2.6 rebounds per game, with an 11.0 Player Efficiency rating. Carl Herrera was a below-average player, and that's precisely why people forgot that he has two championship rings.
