The history of WCW is littered with amazing tag teams like The Steiners, Arn & Tully, Harlem Heat, The Outsiders, The Express tag teams, The Road Warriors, and several others. But much like any promotion, there are plenty of tag teams that even the most ardent fan of WCW would be hard-pressed to remember.

Not only were some of these former WCW tag teams lost to time, but at least one half of each of these teams has been lost to time as well. Most of these guys are out of the business today, some still are pressing along somewhere.
10 Meng From Faces Of Fear
Even now, 25-30 years after his heyday, and there are still folk stories about the badassery of Haku. In WCW, he was reunited with fellow Tongan he learned Sumo with - The Barbarian and formed The Faces Of Fear.
They never got a real run, but were also considered two of the toughest men walking the Earth. After WCW, Meng spent some time back in WWE before retiring to the quiet life in Florida. He does however make occasional appearances alongside his sons, The GODs (Guerrillas Of Destiny) of New Japan.
9 Alex Wright from Dancing Fools
After being discovered by Ric Flair, Alex Wright debuted on WCW when he was very young as Das Wunderkind. Several years later, the fresh-faced babyface dancer gimmick had run its course, so he joined Disco Inferno as The Dancing Fools.

Despite being very young at the end of WCW, Wright opted to not go to WWE - one of the few standouts to never make the trip Up North. He does however own and operate his own promotion in Europe - New European Championship Wrestling.
8 Shawn Stasiak from The Perfect Event
To wrestling fans who know the story - Shawn Stasiak’s a weird dude who got caught taping the boys in the locker room and was ultimately given his release shortly thereafter. He headed to WCW where he’d eventually team up with Mr. Perfect to form The Perfect Event.
After leaving the industry, he studied to become a chiropractor. Recently, he called out Cody Rhodes, in regards to his own father being a former WWE Champion. Hopefully he sticks to cracking backs.
7 Big Vito from Mamalukes
After getting his start in the business alongside fellow New Yorker Vince Russo (yes, Russo tried his hand IN the ring), Big Vito LoGrasso was a favorite of Vinny Roo’s and in theory got his spot moved slightly higher on the card because of it.
After several stints in ECW, WCW, and WWE; almost always as an Italian stereotype, he headed back to the Indies. He has been part of Russo’s podcast brand and has his own show with his wife, Noel since 2017.
6 Scott Norton From Viscous And Delicious
For years, Scott Flash Norton was a world champion Arm Wrestler. He was able to parlay that into being one of the most successful Gaijin superstars of Japan in the mid to late nineties. He headed over to WCW and became one of the top members of the midcard their as well. Once he joined the nWo, he formed Viscous And Delicious with Scott Bagwell and laid wasted to plenty of tag teams. Norton actually lives the quiet life nowadays but also had made memorable appearances like on Dark Side Of The Ring.
5 Vampiro From The Dead Pool
Already a rising star in Mexico, Vampiro came to WCW and made a pretty big splash during the promotion’s latter days. He had programs and or teams with the likes of Sting, The Great Muta, and The Dead Pool - which was he, Raven, and the Insane Clown Posse.

After WCW, he picked up where he left off, as well as becoming a color commentator for Lucha Underground. Unfortunately, in 2019 he was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease.
4 Steve Keirn From Bad Attitude
If you take one member of The Fabulous Ones (Steve Keirn) and one member of The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton), you get a very short-lived WCW tag team - Bad Attitude. The two tag team legends worked several dark matches before calling their teams.
Keirn eventually headed back to his hometown of Florida to jumpstart FCW, which would morph into NXT and The Performance Center at Full Sail.
3 Dale Torborg From The Pit Crew
When he was just starting out on his WCW career, Dale Torborg was part of a team full of synergy - The Pit Crew. Synergy with the with less than stellar WCW Race Team. Torborg and Chad Fortune (of Tekno Team 2000 ‘fame’) formed the barely there team.
Of course afterwards, Torborg became the KISS Demon. He would marry his valet, Asya and join his father Jeff in the world of baseball where he is the conditioning coordinator for the Chicago White Sox.
2 Marc Laurinaitis From The Wrecking Crew
Yep, there actually is a third Laurinaitis brother. After Animal and Ace, Marc also was a worker.

He wrestled as The Terminator and teamed up with Al Green as The Wrecking Crew - Laurinaitis was Fury. Like Ace, he had more success in Japan. He left the business and eventually became an Xperience Manager for a company called Ready Rebound.
1 AJ Styles From Air Raid
We all know the career that AJ Styles had and is continuing to have. But it actually all started in WCW. Styles teamed up with Air Paris to form the Cruiserweight team Air Raid.
They didn’t have much of a chance since they debuted during the company’s last gasp. However, we all know the kind of success Styles went on to have once he left WCW. Over the past 20 years, he became The Phenomenal One and is now a living legend in the industry.
