The 2000s saw a variety of WWE unique pay-per-view events that are often overlooked or forgotten today. There are countless forgotten events that showcased a card full of top talent and matches that are under the radar. The 2000s also encompassed three eras of WWE.

Although they are sometimes forgotten, these events featured some of the biggest stars of the era, such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, Triple H, and John Cena. This list will examine 10 forgotten WWE pay-per-views from the 2000s that deserve a rewatch.
10 No Mercy 2006
In the lead-up to No Mercy 2006, there were two main feuds on SmackDown: the World Heavyweight Championship feud between King Booker, Bobby Lashley, Batista, and Finlay, and the match between Mr. Kennedy and The Undertaker. The World Heavyweight Championship feud started with Batista defeating King Booker by disqualification at SummerSlam, before ultimately losing to Booker in a rematch the following week.
Finlay interfered in the match and attacked Batista with a shillelagh and steel chair. This led to a match between Finlay and Lashley to determine the number one contender for the championship at No Mercy, which Lashley won. The Fatal Four-Way World title match took place at No Mercy. Overall, this show features some fun activities and is a decent show.
9 Armageddon 2007
Armageddon 2007 took place at the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and was a huge card. The main event was a triple threat match between World Heavyweight Champion Batista, Edge, and The Undertaker. The other major matches were Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy to determine the number one contender for the WWE Championship at the 2008 Royal Rumble and Randy Orton vs. Chris Jericho for the WWE Championship.
The PPV received positive reviews from fans, especially for the main event World Heavyweight Championship match, where Edge won the Big Gold Belt for the second time in his career. There were no "game-changing moments" but it's a good show overall.
8 No Way Out 2007
No Way Out 2007 was a wrestling event focused on building interest for the main events at WrestleMania 23. The main match was a "strange bedfellows" tag team competition between Raw competitors John Cena and Shawn Michaels against SmackDown's Batista and The Undertaker, which was won by Cena and Michaels.

The only other relevant match was for the ECW Championship between Mr. Kennedy and Bobby Lashley, but it ended in a disqualification and had no real finish. This show is average, but it's also a great trip down the Ruthless Aggression nostalgia road. It's like watching a good "filler episode" of television.
7 Backlash 2006
Carlito and Chris Masters opened the show. Umaga defeated Ric Flair. It was an event full of stars that made the 2000s great. Shane McMahon wrestled one of the best matches of his career at Backlash 2006. Vince and Shane McMahon battled Shawn Michaels and "God" in a match that is so dumb it has to be seen again at least once. The main event was a Triple Threat match for the WWE Championship between champion John Cena, Edge, and Triple H, with Cena winning in typical 2006 fashion.
6 Judgment Day 2007
The main event of Judgment Day 2007, featuring The Great Khali and John Cena, was not entertaining and ended with Cena winning via submission. However, the rest of the show was not bad with notable highlights from the lower card including Randy Orton defeating an injured Shawn Michaels and The Hardy Boyz's impressive defense of their World Tag Team Championship. MVP also wrestled the best match of his career, culminating with his first United States Championship win.
5 Unforgiven 2001
The 2001 invasion angle was seen as a disappointment due to a lack of star power and competitive WCW/ECW wrestlers but provided some great matches, including Kurt Angle's win over Steve Austin for the WWE Title, an enjoyable Tag Team Title match, and a Hardcore Title battle between Rob Van Dam and Chris Jericho which is considered one of the most underrated bouts in history. Unforgiven 2001 took place less than two weeks after 9/11 and the feeling of triumph is replete throughout the card.
4 Vengeance 2006
The final Raw-exclusive Vengeance event had DX, during their feud with Vince McMahon, taking on all the members of the Spirit Squad in a handicap match. Other matches included John Cena defeating Sabu in an Extreme Rules Lumberjack match, RVD retaining the WWE Championship against Edge, and Johnny Nitro winning the Intercontinental Championship in a triple threat match.

The show was packed with content but had high and low points, including Imposter Kane defeating the Big Red Machine in a singles competition. This show has a ton of great forgotten matches. Almost every match is worth a rewatch.
3 King Of The Ring 2002
The WWE King of the Ring 2002 show had its highlights, but it is not considered a great show. The tournament had potential, but it was discontinued in the Ruthless Aggression Era. The highlights of the show were RVD vs. Lesnar, Angle vs. Hogan, and the fun banter between The Rock, Booker T, and Goldust.
This show features so many top stars with random moments of awesomeness. It's a fun watch and a reminder that there was a time when Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan, Brock Lesnar, and Ric Flair were once all on the same roster.
2 Unforgiven 2002
SummerSlam 2002 is considered by many to be one of the best WWE pay-per-views of all time. Unforgiven 2002 followed in its footsteps, featuring the highly anticipated first match between Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker, although it did not quite reach the level of SummerSlam. The show, overall, was still strong and memorable, featuring several memorable matches.
Rob Van Dam came close to defeating Triple H for the World Heavyweight Title. Van Dam was clearly a star in this match. Edge and Eddie Guerrero delivered an early classic in their WWE careers as well. Kurt Angle stole the show with his performance. It's not SummerSlam 2002, but it is a great rewatch, to say the least.
1 No Mercy 2001
No Mercy 2001 was one of the few shows that was positively impacted by the "Invasion" angle. WWE was filled with a lot of talent at the time and it helped put this show over the top. The main event was a triple-threat match between Kurt Angle, Rob Van Dam, and Steve Austin for Austin's WWE Championship, which was highly entertaining. The show also featured The Rock and Chris Jericho putting on their greatest match together. Additionally, there was a Ladder Match between Edge and Christian, which might also be their best bout against each other. The show is a forgotten gem during a strange part of the Attitude Era.
