Entrance music has been a huge part of a wrestler's overall aesthetic for decades. Nothing gets a crowd riled up like The Undertaker's gong or Stone Cold's glass breaking. Granted, those are examples of huge stars who would likely have done well regardless of what played while they came to the ring, but a flat theme can really take a wrestler's stock down a notch or two.
Revamped Entrance Music
The last thing a Superstar will want to hear when they come to the ring is something that sounds like stock music from a 2K game. That may well be why WWE will reportedly be revamping a number of different entrance themes over the course of the next few months. That report comes from insider BoozerWrasslin via WrestlingNews.

The finer details of what exactly these changes are going to look like, or sound like, aren't known at present. Just that fans should expect to hear some different entrance music for various Superstars over the course of the next three months or so, and that those songs will be performed by various artists. The musical duties of WWE have fallen at the feet of music production company DJDTP since 2019.
Who Makes WWE Music Nowadays?
Not much is known about the company which is a stark contrast to the entities that have taken the musical reigns in the past. CFO$ was responsible for WWE's themes prior to 2019, creating a number of famous entrances including Bobby Roode's Glorious. However, the man in charge of that very important area of WWE for the longest time is Jim Johnston who was released in 2017 after more than 30 years with the company.
Suffice to say, unless clearly written and performed by a well-known singer or band and then repurposed as a wrestling theme, like Limp Bizkit's Rollin', odds are Johnston was responsible for it. While he won't be the one putting together the new themes, unless WWE has a surprising rehire it has managed to keep under wraps, here's hoping whoever's in charge has something special to show us and the Superstars they will be composing for over the course of the summer.
