Not only is it going to be title versus title at WrestleMania this year, but the WWE Championship and Universal Title will be unified into one major belt, according to a recent post on the company's official website promoting tonight's episode of SmackDown.
WWE.com writes, "The Beast comes to the blue brand to make his Winner Take All-Championship Unification Match against The Head of the Table official for WrestleMania, new Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn hold a special celebration and more. Don't miss all the action of SmackDown, this Friday at 8/7 C on Fox." In other words, whoever wins this match walks away as the lone heavyweight champion of the company. It's not clear yet which belt will stay and what the title will be named.

There have been fans wondering if the titles would be unified the moment this match was announced and Lesnar won the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber premium live event. With a title versus title match, the winner was either going to carry around two belts and a tournament would take place to determine a winner for the championship that Superstar vacated, or the belts would be merged into one. The latter seems to be the plan with the new champion likely moving back and forth between the two brands.
This could hint at Lesnar losing seeing as he's more of a part-time performer than Reigns is. At the same time, Reigns' health questions leave it open to the idea that he could lose and take some time off after WWE's biggest show of the year. The uncertainty makes for a much more entertaining main event.
This Is A Huge Match Now
This was already a big match, and it was getting billing as the main event for night two of the two-night spectacular. But, now that the titles are going to be unified, this is a history-making bout between two of the industry's biggest icons.
