WWE doesn't tend to use pyro all that often anymore. Only for massive events and, apparently, Becky Lynch at house shows.

If you're a fan of fireworks but can't wait until Independence Day or bonfire night, your best bet used to be going to a WWE event. However, for the last couple of years, the promotion has really dialed back on its use of pyrotechnics. In fact, the only places you're likely to see them in today's WWE are at WrestleMania or when a Saudi Prince is paying for them.

Although WWE has given no official stance on why it doesn't use pyro as often anymore, it is assumed that it's a money thing. The owner of the company might well be a billionaire, but he didn't make that money by spending it on things he doesn't necessarily need. Clearly, Vince McMahon has decided that 90% of the time, if not more, fireworks with an entrance are not needed.

Which is why footage of Becky Lynch's entrance at a live event on Friday night is rather puzzling. WWE's Superstars are currently touring Europe and on Friday night, SmackDown Live's roster was in Brighton, UK. A fan in attendance recorded Lynch's entrance from the show on their phone and, as you can see below, The Lass Kicker was accompanied by a litany of pyro.

So what's all that about? Well, there could be a number of explanations. It's highly unlikely Mr. McMahon was backstage in Brighton, so perhaps someone went ahead and approved it without the boss's say so. Another explanation could be that Lynch paid for it out of her own pocket. Think Jim from The Office paying for fireworks at Toby's leaving party so he could propose to Pam.

If the fireworks had happened at a PPV or an episode of SmackDown Live it would have made more sense. A cocky Lynch could have marched through the fireworks and bragged about how she is the only Superstar who gets pyro. To use it at a live event seems like an odd choice. Then again, perhaps WWE knew many of us would see it, and here we are talking about it as if we did see it on TV.
