There's an update regarding the attendance and tickets that were sold for WrestleMania 37 weekend at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Earlier this week, it was reported by Brandon Thurston of Wrestlemomics that 40,806 individual tickets were sold for WrestleMania 37 — 18,328 for day one and 18,924 for day two.

In an update, Thurtston now reports that day one drew 17,946, with the number increasing to 18,501 for day two. Thurston received the records from Tampa Sports Authority.

For what it's worth, Super Bowl LV between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs at Raymond James Stadium had a reported attendance of 24,835.

Thurston explained that "Paid ticket sales were higher due to more than over 3,000 tickets given out each night that didn’t reach the gates, likely because of the secondary market."

The average ticket price for WrestleMania 37 was $190, and WWE earned $6.2 million in revenue from the two-night show, per Thurston.

WWE.com reported that WrestleMania 37 sold out both nights, with day one and two each drawing 25,675 fans.

In March, it was reported that WWE was aiming to have 45,000 fans for both nights of WrestleMania 37. However, capacity was set at around 25,000 spectators. This was the first WWE event to hold a live crowd since the March 11, 2020 episode of NXT.

It sounds like WWE will now look towards bringing back fans for SummerSlam 2021. The date and location hasn't been announced.

Raymond James Stadium was initially scheduled to host WrestleMania 36, but WWE had to cancel the plans because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The show was relocated to the Performance Center in Orlando.

WWE decided to relocate WrestleMania 37 from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California to Raymond James Stadium. SoFi Stadium will now host WrestleMania 39, and next year's show will be held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

WrestleMania 37 Was A Great Success

WrestleMania 37 turned out to be a thrilling two-day weekend; the rainy weather couldn't contain the excitement of superstars and fans. It was exciting to a live crowd for the first time in over a year, and you could tell just how much it meant to the superstars. Most of the matches were also highly entertaining and well-booked from start to finish. All in all, this was one of the best WWE pay-per-views in recent memory.
