During Friday's season premiere of WWE SmackDown, Legado del Fantasma debuted for the blue brand with a surprise manager by their side. Zelina Vega also made her return, took the mic, and let everyone know that she was the head of a new group that was clearly showing up to send a message after the group attacked Hit Row.

There were rumors heading into SmackDown that Legado del Fantasma might debut, with rumors that Vega might be there as well. That said, there was not a link to the two parties until just right before the show aired. With that mind, the connection makes a lot of sense. Vega is an excellent talker on the mic, she makes for a good manager who can also get her hands dirty. Legado del Fantasma is immediately more effective with her as their mouthpiece.

It is not clear now what this means for former Legado del Fantasma member Elektra Lopez. Heading into tonight's SmackDown the latest word was that WWE had changed their minds last minute and put Vega in as the female member of the group in place of Lopez. One has to wonder if Lopez will be staying in NXT, or if WWE has other plans for Lopez beyond the group.

That Lagado del Fantasma attacked Hit Row, probably sends a statement. One, it could be that hit row is taking a slight backseat to the debuting group or it could mean that WWE heavily wants to push Legado del Fantasma upon their arrival in quickly cementing them as a faction that needs to be dealt with.

SmackDown Is Theirs Now

The leader of the group, Santos Escobar also grabbed the mic on Friday and told everyone who could hear him that they were on SmackDown and SmackDown was theirs now. Expect the group to be headed in a positive direction over the next couple of months, with early speculation that they would already be a big player on the upcoming WrestleMania card.
