WWE has new Women's Tag Team Champions. During Friday's episode of SmackDown, The Kabuki Warriors took on Katana Chance and Kayen Carter, and Asuka and Kairi Sane walked away with the gold. One night before the Royal Rumble, this title match was one of the headliners on the show and it didn't disappoint.

This is now the second run for these two as women's champions, the first since Kairi Sane returned to WWE just a couple of months ago. WWE fans on social media seemed to take the title change quite well and the live crowd positively reacted, despite the group being heels. It will be key for WWE to find worthy opponents so a new program can begin after the Royal Rumble.
