Last month, Jey Uso quit WWE, as part of the ongoing Bloodline storyline, after failing to dethrone Roman Reigns as Undisputed Champion and Tribal Chief at SummerSlam. Well, there was a little more to it than that. It wasn't just that Jey lost, it was that he had the match won until his brother Jimmy decided to pull him off of Reigns and then cost him the match. That would drive almost anyone to walk away and rethink things.

Jey Uso Is A Raw Superstar

A little more than three weeks later, Jey's back. The Uso returned to the fold at Payback, but not in the way you might have expected. It seems Jey will have nothing to do with The Bloodline at all moving forward since he will now be doing his wrestling on an entirely different brand. Cody Rhodes was the one to break the news, introducing Jey as Raw's newest Superstar during his appearance on The Grayson Waller Effect.

Rhodes didn't hang around to exchange pleasantries with Jey so it's currently unclear why exactly he's involved in bringing him back and recruiting him for Raw. The pair acknowledged each other as they passed on the ramp and then Waller proceeded to mock Jey as soon as he joined him in the ring. Waller then ate a superkick for his troubles.

What About The Bloodline?

As The Bloodline angle faced accusations of getting stale since Jey left, this may well have given fans a clue of how exactly WWE plans on shaking things up. Perhaps that Jimmy vs. Jey match we thought might have happened at Payback can now be saved for WrestleMania after all. It might also mean Jey finally becomes a World Champion, challenging Seth Rollins, or Shinsuke Nakamura if he wins in tonight's main event.

As for Rhodes being the one to announce Jey is now a Raw Superstar, that may well be the first official seed planted suggesting Rhodes vs. Reigns 2 really is the plan for WrestleMania 40. Rhodes can brag about quite literally taking a family member away from Reigns whenever their paths cross again. Suffice to say, Rhodes being involved in this likely means more than him not having anything else to do at Payback.
