High-flying masked wrestler Fuego Del Sol has put pen-to-paper and officially signed for All Elite Wrestling, more than a year after he made his debut for the company.

Fuego was offered an AEW contract during the debut episode of AEW Rampage, which terminated from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on Friday, August 13.

In case you messed it, Fuego faced Miro in the second of three matches on the show. The TNT Championship was on the line, and if Fuego had won, he would have been offered an AEW Contract ... obviously, he didn't win, because nobody can stop Miro.

Fuego hit Miro with a few awesome-looking tornado DDTs as the match began, but the Bulgarian Brute (TM) was just too dominant, and he made short work of Fuego after recovering from the masked man's initial attacks.

Fuego fought valiantly and got a surprising amount of offense in on his much larger opponent. His performance was impressive, and he showed enough character to impress Tony Khan, who decided to offer Fuego a contract anyway.

The AEW president emerged from the back alongside Fuego's close personal friend Sammy Guevara. Tony and Sammy embraced at the top of the ramp and Tony handed Sammy the contract to present to Fuego.

After the show, Fuego took to social media to commemorate the occasion.

"Dreamt about this… Worked so hard for this… you people believed and made this happen," he tweeted. "And We Did It! Best night of my life."

Fuego Del Sol started wrestling in 2014 and has worked the independent scene for his entire career. On June 9, 2020, he debuted for AEW on an episode of Dark in which he tagged with Low Rida in a losing effort against SCU. Over the next year, Fuego made numerous appearances on Dark and went on a long winless run in both tag and singles matches. On the July 6, 2021, edition of Dark, Fuego finally got a win when he teamed with Marko Stunt to defeat Ryzin and Baron Black. The win bought Fuego's record to 1-34.
