Dexter Lumis is one of several talents being brought back to the WWE by Triple H and the company's new administration. He, along with Dakota Kai and Hit Row, were released from the company a few months ago but are now being given a second chance in the company.

The Tortured Artist, And A Real-Life Artist
In an interview with MCW, Dexter Lumis (also known as Sam Shaw) discussed his lifelong passion for art. The following transcription has been provided by Fightful:
My mother says I’ve been drawing since I was two years old. I used to watch Batman, Superman, and professional wrestling on TV, and when the action was over, it’s like I wanted more. So I was like, ‘Mom, draw me this, draw me that. Draw me Hulk Hogan, draw me Ultimate Warrior.’ If she got one detail wrong, I would call her out. She’s like, you do it. That’s how it started. She just started looking at my artwork and she’s like, ‘This kid’s two, three years old and he’s drawing better than me.’ That’s how it basically started, and we are today. I do a lot of commission artwork for fans, wrestlers, clients, companies, whatever.

Dexter Lumis is seemingly a member of the Monday Night Raw roster. He's yet to have any matches, but has appeared within the crowd and in the background of segments for the last few weeks. He also sent his wife Indi Hartwell a letter and a drawing of the two of them, as seen on August 16th's episode of NXT.
