This week's episode of AEW Dynamite had something for every wrestling fan. High-quality matches, big meaty men slapping meat, massive announcements, and a spectacle of a main event.

As loaded as the card was, this felt like a table-setting episode for some real landmark shows on the horizon. Overall, Dynamite left its audience with a lot to talk about and even more to look forward to.

Here are your winners and losers for the April 20th edition of AEW Dynamite.

Winner: CM Punk Continues To Climb The Rankings

CM Punk opened the show decked out in pink and black in another ode to the great Bret Hart. His in-ring work continued to nod the 'Excellence of Execution" with an expertly laid out match against grizzled veteran Dustin Rhodes.

RELATED: CM Punk's Love For Bret Hart, ExplainedRhodes' age showed early in the match, but it didn't take long for the storytelling to pull the audience in. Punk worked Dustin's tweaked knee early on. Rhodes persevered as the fighter he is, emptying the tank against his opponent. Rhodes got the audience to bite on a tremendous near fall after he hit the Cross Rhodes and a piledriver. It wasn't enough to defeat Punk, who continues to climb the ranks in AEW.

After Punk's win, he made the 'invisible strap' hand gesture as he made his way up the ramp. That's when AEW World Champ Hangman Adam Page's music hit. Page came out and had a stare-down with Punk. Take our money.

Winners: Blackpool Combat Club Win The Again

Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson's dojo of destruction continued their warpath. They defeated youngsters Dante Martin, Lee Moriarty, and Brock Anderson. While the result was never in question, Moriarty was over with the crowd and had some impressive hope spots. Dante Martin displayed his high-flying ability, but the match ended with all three members of BCC annihilating their opponents in the ring. Moxley hit the Paradigm Shift to pin Martin for the win.

Winners: AEW x NJPW Announce Joint PPV

Tony Khan's next big announcement was delivered. He introduced Takami Ohbari, the president of New Japan Pro Wrestling. Before the two presidents could make the announcement, Adam Cole appeared on the big screen to do the honors. AEW and New Japan will co-host a PPV called Forbidden Door on June 26th at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.

Fellow Bullet Club / Undisputed Elite friend Jay White was introduced, teasing a Switchblade appearance on the Forbidden Door show.

Loser: MJF Can't Keep Wardlow Down

When Wardlow arrived at the arena, he was met by Mark Sterling and an army of security guards. They handcuffed him while Sterling made it clear that Wardlow would only be there to wrestle. He'd be escorted out of the building once his match concluded.

When Wardlow came to the ring, he was still handcuffed, and he didn't get his entrance music. The cuffs were taken off, and he and The Butcher had a brief but hard-hitting match. The Butcher looked good against the War dog, even powerbombing him. But that was no match for Wardlow's powerbomb symphony.

Later in the show, MJF had the next trick up his sleeve. He paid off Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, who manages Lance Archer. Seeing MFJ and Roberts in the same frame, cutting a promo is more evidence of how wild the year 2022 is.

Winner: Kyle O'Reilly Qualifies For Owen Hart Tournament

Jungle Boy and Kyle O'Reilly had a heck of a fight to qualify for the Owen Hart tournament. The match seemed to lean more towards O'Reilly's mat style than Jungle Boy's high-flying offense, and thus it played into Kyle's advantage. After a sea-saw exchange, O'Reilly hit a suplex into a brainbuster. From there, he dropped a knee onto Jungle Boy from the top rope. This was enough for the victory, finally putting The Undisputed Elite back in the win column.

Loser: Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti Go Full Heel

AEW has finally embraced Sammy Guevara and Tay Conti as heels. What's curious about this is that they're still feuding with American Top Team, who are heels themselves. Sammy had a promo battle with ATT, which had the usual cringy jabs. The end game is a mixed-tag match down the line and a TNT Championship match next week; Scorpio Sky vs. Sammy Guevara in a ladder match.

Winner: Britt Baker Wins In Her Homecoming

It's been weeks since we've seen Dr. Britt Baker on TV. She came back and looked like the star she was. It helped that she was in her beloved home of Pittsburgh. She even went to the ring flanked by Steelers stars Najee Harris and Pat Freiermuth.

In the ring, Britt looked great against Danielle Kamela. She hit all three of her patented moves to score the victory, her swinging neck breaker followed by her curb stomp. Finally, she went to Freiermuth to get a Steelers glove which aider her Lock Jaw finisher.

Winner: Darby Allin Closes The Door On Andrade (Hopefully)

The main event saw Darby Allin and Andrade in a Coffin Match. This was not nearly as good or memorable as their first, standard singles match. It also wasn't as good as Darby's Coffin Match against Ethan Page, but it still had some pop-worthy spots that looked brutal.

The Andrade Family Office got involved early, but Sting was there to even the odds. The match ended with Allin hitting a Tope Suicida into Andrade, which sent him into the Coffin. When Jose tried to prevent the lid from closing, he was backdropped onto the thumbtack-laced top. Darby Allin won, which hopefully closes the book on this rivalry.
