Could AEW actually be teasing the breakup of their top heel faction, The Inner Circle? Recent booking decisions and backstage incidences have created some questions around how the grouped will be booked going forward.

Based on the way night one of Fyter Fest went down, if night two goes the same way for The Inner Circle, one has to wonder if the writing on the wall for their future as a dominant group? It would be hard to imagine AEW breaking up the Jericho-led faction considering the time that's been invested in their success, but one has to question where this group is headed. Last Wednesday's Fyter Fest was not a good sign of things to come.

With Jericho no longer the AEW Champion, Jake Hager coming to the ring with his wife but not other members of the group, and no one really having each other's backs, what's next?

Hager has now been suspended (via the storyline) after he hit an official and Sammy Guevara is in the midst of a legitimate leave from the company after inappropriate comments that saw him get suspended, for who knows how long. Not to mention, Santana and Ortiz haven't exactly been at the top of AEW's stacked tag team division in recent weeks and Jericho seems to spend more time on commentary than he does actually wrestling. Needless to say, there are certainly issues with the group and Fyter Fest was not a good demonstration of this group helping each other out either.

Other Signs That Things Aren't Quite Right

Fans may have missed it, but some have noticed that none of the members of The Inner Cirlcle entered to the group's theme music and Inner Circle merchandise was nowhere to be found. There haven't been skits like the group has been prone to making and each member seems more focused on their individual issues than that of the group's.

There's no confirmation that this is a direction AEW is heading, but this Wednesday might provide a bit more clarity on the matter. If the remaining members of The Inner Circle doesn't come out and help Jericho as he takes on Orange Cassidy, what does that mean?

If they aren't breaking up, perhaps it's time Jericho adds another member to help him out in Hager and Guevara's absence.
