While WrestleMania Backlash consisted of mostly rematches, WWE still found a way to make the show wildly entertaining. Cody Rhodes picked up another win over Seth Rollins, Rhea Ripley joined Judgment Day and The Bloodlne stood tall.

Here are your winners and losers for WrestleMania Backlash, May 8, 2022:

Winner: Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins II

A different match with a different finish from the first, one could argue this sequel was as good as the first. Rhodes and Rollins clearly have chemistry and the handful of tights to get The American Nightmare a win helps keep Cody rolling while not hurting Rollins. This was just a solid match to open the show and each competitor hit their move set, while also stealing a bit from each other.

Cody cut a promo backstage after the match saying he was now interested in competing for the WWE Championship. It will be intriguing to see if WWE pushes him in that direction, if there is more to deal with as Rollins tries to get his revenge in a third match or if another competitor will stand in the road while Cody tries to chase his dream.

Winner: Omos Defeats Lashley

Not only does Omos look like he's starting to figure out this sports entertainment thing, but having MVP in his corner adds such an important element to his matches that it's night and day from what Omos matches used to be. Picking up the biggest win of his career to date, every time MVP gave a high five or took a cheap shot, it was solid misdirection from the fact that Omos gtends to not know exactly where to be. To his credit, Omos was much better and he worked a smoother contest than he's ever worked.

Winner: Rhea Ripley Joins Judgment Day

Another great match kept the show rolling as Styles and Edge had a much better match than their WrestleMania contest. Ripley joining the group was icing on the cake. This is going to be really good for Ripley. With Edge and Damian Priest by her side, she'll have a level of protection to ensure she won't get lost in the shuffle and will gain a ton of experience and knowledge working so closely with Edge. We'll see if WWE puts a challenger in front of her or just has her hanging out with the faction.

Priest and Finn Balor got involved and all of the chaos was the perfect storm to bring out Ripley who was covered in a hood. The element of surprise was there, even though rumors were everywhere that WWE was heavily considering her for the group.

Winner: Ronda Rousey vs. Charlotte Flair

This was a hard-fought, violent match between two women that made the "I Quit" stipulation work. Each reach a new level of toughness and sold for each other while Rousey came out on a top and Flair looks like she might be taking a bit of a break from WWE with a storyline arm injury. From kendo sticks to two women battling around the arena, this was easily Rousey's best match since joining WWE and she did as good a job as any veteran would have done in a similar situation.

Charlotte is great and if she's taking some time off, she'll be missed. Who Rousey goes up against next will be fun to see and fans will likely learn what her path is as the champion on Friday's SmackDown. All in all, this was another match on the card that was better than what they delivered at WrestleMania and was way better than the hype leading up to the actual bout. These two totally over-delivered.

Winner: Happy Corbin vs. Madcap Moss

WrestleMania kept rolling with another match that was better than the first encounter between the two stars involved. Corbin vs. Moss was solid, competitive and entertaining. Both men decided to put away the joking and have a serious match and it was worth the time WWE gave it. Not a short match and not a terribly long one because of the sunset flip win by Moss, this rivarly probably isn't over. Moss left laughing and Corbin was in the ring staring him down.

Winner: Six-Man Tag, The Bloodline Stands Tall

The main event of the evening was the six-man tag match that was changed from a tag team title unification bout just a couple of weeks earlier. Fans that might have been disappointed with that got a nice replacement as the chaos and entertainment value in the closing bout of the night made up for it. Eventually, the official lost control of the action and everyone was fighting everywhere. In the confusion, Reigns put Drew McIntyre through the announce table and then nailed a spear on Riddle to score the win.

The fact that there were no titles on the line got forgotten rather quickly in this one. With only a couple of weeks to build the bout, all six men did a great job of making the most of a last-minute pivot by WWE. Will Drew and Roman get their one-on-one match now?

WrestleMania Backlash Match Results:

* Cody reversed a pin attempt where Seth Rollins had a handful of tights, to his own pin and he used the tights to secure a second win.

* Omos defeated Lashley after MVP hit The Allmighty with a cane. Omos then landed the double-arm chokeslam for the win.

* Edge defeated AJ Styles with the help of Rhea Ripley, who joined the Judgment Day faction.

* Ronda Rousey defeats Charlotte Flair by making her say "I Quit". It appears Flair is going to be off of WWE programming for a while with a storyline injury.

* Madcap Moss defeated Happy Corbin when Moss hit a sunset flip out of nowhere to get the clean win. A sad Corbin watched on a Moss celebrated.

* The Bloodline defeated RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre when Roman Reigns hit Riddle with a spear for the win.
