Retirement can be a blissful phase for professional wrestlers when it happens at the right time, and many legendary in-ring performers who dedicated their lives to competing in the squared circle have happily hung up their boots over the years. The retirement allows them to stop the abuse they put their bodies through during their prime with intense training, travel, and lots of wrestling. Many have given their bodies the break they deserve and loosened up a bit, and some have even let themselves go.

But certain retired wrestlers could not stay away from the gym and either maintained the same physique as their time in the ring or even got into better shape. With that said, let's take a look at nine retired tag team wrestlers (most of whom had stints in WWE) who stayed in incredible shape over the years.

9 Rob Conway

Rob Conway is well-known among wrestling fans for his time in WWE as part of the La Resistance faction alongside Sylvain Grenier and René Duprée. He is a former 2-time World Tag Team Champion in the company and was with the company's main roster between 2003 and 2007.

Following his exit from the company, he continued to perform in the indies and other promotions and became a 2-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion before hanging up his boots around 2020. He sported a muscular physique throughout his prime and stayed in the same shape even after his retirement, and looks like he could go another decade in the ring.

8 David Otunga

David Otunga is one of the few wrestlers in the industry who spent their entire pro wrestling career in WWE. He found his way into WWE in 2008 through the company's former developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, and broke into WWE television as a rookie on the first season of NXT in 2010.

It led to him making his main roster debut as part of the Nexus faction alongside his fellow NXT Season 1 rookies and had a decent run on the main roster, where he became a 2-time tag team champion. He retired from in-ring competition in 2015 and is continuing his acting career, and looking at his recent pictures, it appears he's in even better shape than he was during his time in WWE.

7 Tyson Kidd

Tyson Kidd's in-ring career got cut short because of an unfortunate injury he sustained during a match against Samoa Joe on the June 5, 2015, episode of Superstars. He suffered a severe spinal cord injury after taking Joe's Muscle Buster move. He later revealed that only 5% of people survived the injury and that he had to get 16 staples, four screws, and a rod inserted in his neck.

He is a former 3-time tag team champion in WWE and could've done more if he hadn't sustained the injury. He currently works as a backstage producer for WWE but continues to keep his body in great shape, as we see in the picture.

6 Mark Jindrak

Mark Jindrak made his pro-wrestling debut in 1999 for WCW and made his way into WWE as part of The Alliance in 2001. He is a former 2-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Sean O'Haire and has also held the CMLL World Trios Championship once.

Standing at 6ft 6 inches and having an impressive muscular physique, Jindrak had everything Vince McMahon liked in a wrestler but couldn't make a significant mark in WWE, mostly due to him losing his spot in the Evolution faction to Batista. He retired from in-ring competition in 2018 but judging by the picture, it seems that he still keeps himself in excellent shape.

5 Shawn Stasiak

Being the son of former WWE Champion Stan Stasiak, Shawn Stasiak made his pro wrestling debut in 1996 and soon found his way into WWE in 1998. He also had a brief stint in WCW between 2000 and 2001, during which time he went on to become a 3-time WCW World Tag Team Champion with Chuck Palumbo.

He returned to WWE in 2001 and became a 15-time Hardcore Champion before leaving on his own terms in September 2002. He made a few appearances on the independent circuit, but he became a chiropractor and motivational speaker and also kept himself in great shape over the years.

4 Stevie Ray

Stevie Ray is one of the legends of tag team wrestling as he revolutionized the match type with his brother Booker T throughout their time together as the Harlem Heat tag team. Stevie Ray and Booker T won ten tag team championships in WCW and 3-time tag team champions in the Global Wrestling Federation.

Both Stevie Ray and Booker T sported muscular physiques throughout their careers and are keeping themselves in the same shape to this date. Stevie Ray retired in 2017, while Booker T continued to perform until hanging up his boots for good in January 2023.

3 Jacques Rougeau

Jacques Rogeau physique

Jacques Rougeau had a four-decade-long career between 1977 and 2018 and is well-known for his time in WWE. He was a part of the Fabulous Rougeaus tag team with his brother Raymond Rougeau and also had a singles run in the company as The Mountie between 1991 and 1992 and one run with the Intercontinental Championship.

He then formed The Quebecers tag team with Pierre Ouellet, with whom he went on to win three tag team championships in WWE. His family has a profound history in the pro wrestling business, and he teamed up with his sons in his final match before retiring in 2018. He owned a wrestling school for a long time and continued to keep himself in shape over the years.

2 Stevie Richards

While Stevie Richards has multiple singles accolades to his name, he has made some contributions to tag team wrestling throughout his time as an in-ring performer. He is a former 2-time ECW World Tag Team Champion with Raven and won several tag team championships across other promotions.

He had a decent 3-decade career inside the squared circle and announced his retirement in late 2021. He kept himself in good shape over the years and even bounced back from a major illness recently. He is also a fitness trainer and posts regular workout videos on his Instagram account.

1 Aiden English

Aiden English is a well-known name among wrestling fans for his time in WWE between 2012 and 2020. He was part of the Vaudevillains tag team with Simon Gotch during his time in NXT and for a brief time on the main roster and is a former 1-time NXT Tag Team Champion.

He got released from WWE as part of the pandemic budget cuts in 2020 and went on to sign with Impact Wrestling. However, he retired from in-ring competition in 2021 and took his place as a commentator in the company and also occasionally in NJPW. He wasn't the most muscular figure during his time as a wrestler, but he showcased a great transformation following his retirement, as seen in the picture.
