Scott Steiner is not a friendly name in the McMahon household as Big Poppa Pump has been quite vocal about letting his disdain for the family in various outlets.

Stephanie McMahon was the Director of Creative during the time, and this led to Steiner publicly criticizing her on various occasions, blaming her and her father Vince McMahon for his lackluster final run with the company, which ended in his release in August 2004.

The fans never expected a superstar with the Funkadactyl character to become a multiple-time women's champion in WWE. Paul Heyman was the lead writer for SmackDown from July 2002 to February 2003, while Stephanie McMahon was the Director of Creative. Stephanie McMahon trusted The Rock to the point that she let him give her a Rock Bottom at WrestleMania 2000 apart from all the verbal smackdowns she had to endure.
