Sheamus has been on the WWE main roster since all the way back in 2009, and in that time he has won an array of championships and become one of the more underrated superstars of all time. He has been a constant in WWE for nearly fifteen years, and in that time there has been a lot of good and bad.

For the most part, it feels as though Sheamus has mostly kept above the water when it comes to quality of storylines, matches, and title reigns, but on occasion his time in WWE has been poor, whether that be some bad booking or a bad title win.
10 Best: Ending The New Day’s Record-Breaking Reign
In 2016, a feud between Sheamus and Cesaro led to the pair becoming ‘The Bar’, and they went on to become a great part of the tag team division. Perhaps the pinnacle of their time as a duo came at their very first title win.
The New Day had been Tag Team Champions for a record 483 days, so seeing them finally fall was a great moment. Sheamus and Cesaro used some great tag team tactics to score the victory too, showcasing just how well they could work together. This was also Sheamus’ very first Tag Team Title win.
9 Worst: Shunned From WrestleMania
Going into WrestleMania 27, Sheamus was reigning as the United States Champion, and he was booked to face Daniel Bryan in what looked to be a potential show-stealer if given the time.
However, on the night of WrestleMania, this match was dropped to the pre-show match (though this was before the pre-show was a proper thing). Not only that, but the match ended in a no contest when several of the lumberjacks (yes, it was also changed to a lumberjack match) interfered and caused this to be turned into a battle royal.
8 Best: Shock WWE Championship Win
Sheamus’ climb in WWE was one of the most remarkable ever. After just a few months on the main roster, he shockingly earned a shot at the WWE Championship against John Cena at the TLC PPV.
Even more shocking was the fact that Sheamus won the match and became WWE Champion. He went from an unknown to the top heel in the company in the space of one night, and it set him up for a career of success.
7 Worst: Losing To A Child
The Bar walked into WrestleMania 34 as the Raw Tag Team Champions, and were set to defend the gold against Braun Strowman and a mystery opponent. Strowman picked a legitimate child as his partner.

Strowman proceeded to steamroll Sheamus and Cesaro, essentially squashing them with ease and winning the titles on his own. This made The Bar look very bad, and it devalued the belts too.
6 Best: Stealing The Show With Drew McIntyre
It should be said that when it comes to Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, there are actually multiple occasions of them stealing the show. However, this will look specifically at their most recent singles match on SmackDown in 2022, under the stipulation of a Good Old Donnybrook.
This was all out chaos and physicality, and it offered up one of the best matches of the year and of either man’s careers. Prior to this, the pair had several strong matches, but this one was arguably the best of the bunch.
5 Worst: 18 Seconds Versus Daniel Bryan
On paper, winning the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania against Daniel Bryan should be among the best moments of Sheamus’ career. However, it is actually one of his worst.
The match opened WrestleMania 28, and the fans were looking forward to a great match. Instead, Sheamus hit one Brogue Kick and won the match in 18 seconds. It did cause a big pop due to the shock of the moment, but in actuality it was a baffling decision and one of the worst title matches in WrestleMania history.
4 Best: Royal Rumble Win
Chris Jericho was the favorite to win the 2012 Royal Rumble, but in quite a welcome surprise, WWE went with the unpredictable choice of having Sheamus win the match.
It was a nice moment to see Sheamus propelled back up to the main event scene, and it added an accomplishment that will further help him sit in the history books. Some fans will have still preferred a Jericho win, but having a shock Rumble winner is hardly ever a bad thing.
3 Worst: Getting Embarrassed By Triple H
Sheamus’ loss to Triple H at WrestleMania 26 was looked down upon, but it was somewhat rectified by a win at Extreme Rules and a brutal assault on Triple H that kept him off TV for a year. This should have been a ‘rub’ for Sheamus, but it was nullified.
When Triple H returned to WWE TV in 2011, he targeted Sheamus and embarrassed him in a long assault which was done to make him look like a threat ahead of a match against The Undertaker. This was an ugly case of a part-timer getting put over a full-time star for no reason.
2 Best: Ovation After Classic Vs. GUNTHER
At the 2022 Clash At The Castle PPV, Sheamus and GUNTHER had a match of the year candidate and a five-star classic as rated by Dave Metlzer, as noted on cagematch.net. The match itself was stunning, and the reaction after the match was arguably even better.

Sheamus was drowned in minutes of applause, getting shown the respect he has deserved for many years. It was an all-timer moment in his career, even in defeat.
1 Worst: Jeff Hardy Hit & Run Feud
Back during the pandemic era, WWE ran a story of Jeff Hardy being the victim of a hit and run. Sheamus used this opportunity to make fun of Hardy’s addictions, leading to a really uncomfortable feud.
This rivalry had a variety of painful segments, the worst of which saw Sheamus getting pee thrown on him.
