The company recently released a number of wrestlers and backstage employees. While a majority of those released wrestlers weren't used well, some notable names also made list by surprising fans. After a making name for themselves in WWE, they should find success in other wrestling companies.
This list will cover ten such recently released WWE Superstars who have the potential to be stars elsewhere.
10 Eric Young
It's disappointing how Eric Young's main roster run turned out after an incredible run in NXT. The former leader of SAnitY created one of the terrifying stables of the black and yellow brand.
Young was one of the big stars of TNA and contributed to the rise of the company. If he goes back to Impact, he could get back the lost glory, building his legacy again.
9 Sarah Logan
When WWE included Sarah Logan in the list of released Superstars, it startled a myriad of fans. Logan wasn't a top star by any means, but she was regular on TV, and even participated in the women's Elimination Chamber match this year.
From an indie wrestler to having a six-year career in WWE, Logan has certainly grown a lot in the past few years, which should help her to do well in the future. The former Riott Squad member can be an asset to any company if she is used properly.
8 Heath Slater
Heath Slater, a fourteen-year WWE veteran, got released by the company. Slater was never a top star, but he had a captivating character, helping him to win tag team championship gold four times. Teaming up with Rhyno, he became the first-ever SmackDown Tag Team Champion.

Given his vast experience from WWE, he should thrive in any other wrestling company. In his post WWE career, he must keep his comedy gimmick alive, which helped him to get over.
7 Zack Ryder
Similar to Slater, Zack Ryder was part of WWE for such a long time. However, Ryder enjoyed a better run as a singles star, winning multiple titles. In his early days, Ryder received a good push.
The thirty-four-year-old is still young and has the potential to rekindle himself elsewhere, similar to Drew McIntyre. Moreover, Ryder also possesses the look, in-ring proficiency, and charisma to become a big star.
6 EC3
When EC3 signed with WWE, there was a hope to become a prominent name of the company, continuing his momentum from the Impact Wrestling and independent circuit. Nevertheless, his WWE tenure rapidly turned into a nightmare, as he became an enhancement talent of the company.
After such a dismal run in the main roster, EC3's release wasn't unexpected. It could become a blessing in disguise for EC3 to get back on track. He should be on the radar of AEW after the release.
5 Curtis Axel
Curtis Axel is a third-generation Superstar, but it didn't prevent him from getting axed. Axel had been part of the WWE family for more than a decade. He, however, was a jobber for the majority of his career.
With his substandard long tenure in WWE, he never got the opportunity to wrestle for other top wrestling promotions in the world. Hence, the release would give him the freedom to showcase his talent, and he should be able to utilize it.
4 Erick Rowan
Erick Rowan was one of the few names who was denied a constant push. As a result, Rowan never made it to the top, even though he was associated with one of the most dominant stables of the last decade. As a singles competitor, he beat some big names, but he would quickly lose momentum.
WWE might not have shown trust in Rowan, but other companies might. With a tall stature, he can be booked as a monster, and he has an old school vibe.
3 The OC
Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, the former members of The OC, were one of the shocking departures, given how dominant they were in the past year. Besides winning the RAW Tag Team Championship, they were crowned the "Best Tag Team World" in Saudi Arabia. They played a pivotal role in the Boneyard match between AJ Styles and The Undertaker, which was one of the best matches of WrestleMania 36.

As Anderson and Gallows attained their popularity in NJPW, they have the bright possibility of going back to Japan. They could rejoin The Bullet Club and dominate again.
2 Lio Rush
Lio Rush made a name for himself when he got promoted to the main roster and became the manager of Bobby Lashley. The alliance worked, as Lashley tasted success. After parting ways from Lashley, Rush won the Cruiserweight Title in NXT.
Rush is extremely dexterous in the ring but his mic skill gives him an extra edge. The former Cruiserweight Championship has the talent to shine outside WWE.
1 Rusev
Rusev didn't have a great relationship before leaving WWE because he was frustrated with his position, despite being a huge crowd puller. The audience loved him
Given his popularity, he is bound to become a leading name for any top promotion. AEW could be a perfect place for him to join, where he might establish himself as a main event wrestler of the company.
