The win-loss record of AEW is one of the most important parts of the product. Tony Khan wanted to use his background in sports to provide a realistic element to the storytelling in a wrestling promotion. Many wrestlers have accumulated great records without having many noteworthy victories. Dark and Elevation are the two YouTube shows that typically features AEW contracted talents getting squash match wins over enhancement or local talents. The following wrestlers had their win loss records padded by having mostly pointless wins on the less-important shows.
10 Tay Conti
The recent AEW Women’s Championship title shot for Tay Conti at Full Gear 2021 gave her the biggest match of her career against Britt Baker. Fans didn’t particularly buy into Conti winning the title since her push felt rushed in terms of television time.

Tay’s outstanding win/loss record of 44-8 featured most of those victories coming on Dark and Elevation. AEW has booked Conti consistently against local talents to continue her progression. Even though the record is great, Tay’s ceiling is higher down the road with the secondary victories stat padding.
9 Shawn Spears
AEW has never committed to pushing Shawn Spears in a major role due to the other members of the roster requiring bigger roles. Spears losing to Cody Rhodes before the television deal started was his biggest match.
The overall record of 37-17 has seen Spears protected by beating relatively unknown wrestlers on Elevation and Dark. Spears is someone AEW wants ready for the occasional TV or PPV bout, but he is mostly piling up wins on the YouTube shows.
8 Colten Gunn
Colten Gunn is the odd man out on a list with CM Punk, Sting, Paul Wight and Lio Rush as the only official AEW wrestlers without a loss on their record. The various six-man and tag matches with his father Billy and/or his brother Austin sees Colten with a 34-0 record.
AEW has even started to give the Gunn Club some bigger wins on Dark against The Dark Order. The 34 wins for Colten have seen him almost exclusively wrestle on the YouTube shows. Colten has just one match on Dynamite teaming with his family to defeat The Factory led by heel QT Marshall.
7 Frankie Kazarian
Frankie Kazarian is one of the “day one” signings of AEW as part of SCU before the company even ran a show. The veteran role of Kazarian sees him having the occasional big television match against Christian Cage or Adam Cole, but that is rarer these days.
Fans would be stunned to see that Kazarian is 58-28 since it feels like he loses the big matches almost every time. Kazarian has stat padded his win total on Dark and Elevation by having matches with undercard or unsigned talents.
6 Red Velvet
AEW clearly views Red Velvet as a future star for the women’s division with her placement in that memorable attraction match teaming with Cody Rhodes against Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill. Red Velvet has an impressive record of 35-18 in AEW.
Most of the victories for Red Velvet have come on the YouTube shows to give her enough time in the ring to continue advancing. The big match wins have yet to come for her, but Red Velvet may use this record in grander fashion for a bigger push in 2022.
5 Wardlow
Wardlow is another rising star for AEW being protected in the win loss records at 31-6. AEW has made sure that Wardlow losing a match feels like an important moment. There is a learning process of Wardlow needing more time to develop for a bigger push.

Wardlow has piled up a vast majority of his wins coming over unknown talents on Dark and Elevation. AEW spotlights Wardlow in those matches since his character squashing less credible names makes complete sense for his direction.
4 Powerhouse Hobbs
Another wrestler known for dominating his opponents on the secondary shows is Powerhouse Hobbs. Team Taz sees Hobbs and Ricky Starks as the main members these days, but they have been mostly competing on Dark and Elevation in recent times.
AEW has booked Hobbs to have a win/loss record of 33-16 throughout his stint in the company. The number is even skewed since Hobbs lost multiple matches as the enhancement talent before getting signed. Hobbs went from the talent losing to big names on Dark to being the person using that show to pile up victories.
3 Thunder Rosa
One of the few criticisms towards AEW to be shared across the board is that they don’t always give enough time to their women’s division. AEW typically booking one women’s match per show led to Thunder Rosa being without a relevant role in months.
Thunder was just as impressive as Britt Baker in their legendary match, but Britt getting the push as the heel champ led to Rosa being without a feud. Dark and Elevation have been the shows for Thunder to get her record up to 39-6, so she remains a contender when it’s time for her highly anticipated rematch with Baker.

The success of the Dark Order after Brodie Lee took over led to Preston Vance aka 10 becoming a valued member of the group. 10 was picked by Brodie to join the group and stands out for having the jacked physique while having his face under a mask.
The win loss record for 10 is an outstanding 43-16 to show how much he’s been protected. Fans were surprised at 10 being in the #1 contender’s eliminator tournament. However, it was his record being protected by dominating on the YouTube shows that had it make sense.
1 Luchasaurus
AEW has clearly prioritized Jungle Boy over Luchasaurus by putting him in singles roles during their tag run. Jurassic Express is still a beloved act together, but Jungle Boy has now feuded with Adam Cole, Kenny Omega, and MJF on his own.
The effect of Jungle Boy having singles PPV or TV matches would see Luchasaurus getting wins in singles action on the secondary shows. Even the time where he was overlooked for Jungle Boy’s would see Luchasaurus piling up the wins to ensure a strong record. His overall career record is 54-22, while his 2021 win/loss record is 21-9.
