The embarrassing moment of Brock Lesnar botching a Shooting Star Press in the WrestleMania 19 main event is still a clip that fans talk about two decades later. Lesnar has confirmed rumors that he didn’t want to do this spot despite it being his finisher in OVW. The risks involved were shown that night when Brock landed on his head and was knocked out on his feet. John Laurinaitis was the rumored name that talked Lesnar into doing the move, but Brock only referred to him as a backstage employee in his account of the story. The experiment of Brock Lesnar wanting to fight for UFC in between his WWE schedule only lasted so long before things went poorly. Lesnar was suspended by UFC for failing one of their drug tests that are done to prevent anyone from having an unfair advantage. WWE likes to treat their wellness policy as a credible sports drug testing program since they’ve suspended many top stars for violating it. However, Brock didn’t receive any punishment nor did any news of his WWE drug tests come out after this story broke, which left fans skeptical.
2 Throwing Belt At Vince McMahon In Anger
WWE 24 documentaries are done to show the real side of WWE on the biggest events of the year. WrestleMania 34 had a special moment where the rumors were confirmed with footage of Brock Lesnar throwing the Universal Championship at Vince McMahon in anger. The main event between Brock and Roman Reigns went poorly as fans heckled the match that they had no interest in. Lesnar was livid after his victory and threw the large belt at the older boss. Vince yelling in anger at Brock saw the champion walking away with no other footage of the moment. Things are a lot better now with both McMahon and Lesnar speaking well of each other in interviews.
1 Refused 2004 Program With The Undertaker Before Leaving
One of the most overlooked stories of Brock Lesnar’s WWE career came around the end of his first run in the company. Lesnar was miserable with the travel schedule and wanted out when using an NFL tryout as his reason for letting his WWE contract expire. However, there were other reports before Brock officially made the decision about WWE plans that he disliked. The Undertaker going back to The Deadman gimmick at WrestleMania 20 was to see him have a program with Lesnar that summer. Brock reportedly hated the idea of The Undertaker’s character no-selling for him and factored that into his decision to leave.
