Typically, those who take on a producer's role behind the scenes end up being former professional wrestlers, and some adapt to the role perfectly, while others struggle with it. Being a producer isn't a role guaranteed for main event wrestlers though, which often brings a real variety of talent into the role. 10 Road Dogg
Road Dogg has been an incredible producer during his post-wrestling career. Behind the scenes, he has done a lot of great work, particularly during his time with NXT where he worked alongside Triple H, producing some of the best matches in the history of the brand.

8 Jamie Noble
Outside WWE, Jamie Noble got a lot of opportunities to showcase his in-ring abilities, and he is a fantastic wrestler. However, during his time with the company, Noble was rarely taken seriously as a wrestler, normally just having shorter matches lower down on the card.
Despite that, he does have a brilliant mind for the business. That is something that has translated well into a backstage role, with Noble often being praised by those who work with him about his ability to add psychology and tell great stories.
7 Shawn Daivari
Shawn Daivari has a solid enough in-ring career, mainly with Ring Of Honor and Impact Wrestling. However, behind the scenes, he is working on another level as a producer. This is a job he has undertaken within WWE, where his experience has allowed him to put together matches for current talent.
The producing role is something that has taken his career in the business to another level. It's a credit to him that he has been able to thrive so much within this role and that has proven his ability within the sport.
6 Finlay
Finlay was a brilliant professional wrestler, who always worked technical abilities into what he did. However, he was never a main event player, despite the fact he could put together a great match with anybody. But when it comes to his work as a producer, Finlay has made a huge impact on the business.
Working with the female talent specifically, Finlay has managed to take the women's division to completely new heights, and a large part of that is down to him. He is often credited for being one of the best producers of all time, and that will be how he is best remembered by people.
5 Tyson Kidd
Tyson Kidd is in the exact same spot as Finlay. He was a brilliant wrestler, but not someone that WWE ever decided to push massively as a serious threat to the main event scene. However, he now produces some of WWE's biggest women's matches, which has included the main events of PPVs.
