According to PWInsider, it appears WWE will be bringing in a Hall of Fame legend to take part in a number of main roster shows over the next few weeks. With links to Baron Corbin's gimmick change, speculation is that JBL will be part of the red brand, helping introduce Corbin's new character to the WWE Universe. There have been rumblings since the episode of "WWE SmackDown" where Corbin hopped into JBL's limo that these two might work together. That now appears to be the case.
Corbin recently said in an interview that Triple H is specifically working to reimagine his persona and give a little more edge to his character. PWInsider writes, "There was talk at Smackdown Friday night that WWE Hall of Famer JBL would be at the next several Raws in some capacity." The report suggests that JBL will appear as early as tonight's stacked show that features a confrontation between Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley, a match between Seth Rollins and Riddle, the return of Elias, and more. It's not clear if Corbin will be with him.

What Is Coming For JBL and Corbin?
What kind of character will Corbin have if JBL is attached? Considering Corbin's Happy Corbin was based on his having millions of dollars, there's an obvious connection. JBL was among the best to ever turn the money-man heel gimmick into a main event run and if he's mentoring Corbin, having Corbin play a similar role to what JBL did back in the Ruthless Aggression era could be ideal. Corbin is underrated when it comes to his mic and heel skills and he would fit a similar type of character to JBL extremely well.
Fans already love to hate Corbin. If he sees himself as the next coming of JBL and starts to drive to the ring in fancy limousines and throw his money around like candy, they'll be even more reason to hate him.
