Bryan Alvarez and former WWE, ECW, and WCW star Lance Storm discussed Kevin Dunn's recent departure from WWE on the latest Figure Four Daily podcast. Dunn reportedly decided to leave the company at the end of last month and while Storm thinks he knows who will be taking his spot, he's only hearing a name at this point. From there, the conversation turned from talking about Dunn's replacement to why much of the locker room is happy about the change.
Storm revealed that he never engaged in a face-to-face conversation with Kevin Dunn. Alvarez chimed in, stating that Dunn didn't possess a "stellar reputation" during his time there. "A lot of people [are] happy he's gone. Kind of like a lot of people who were happy that Vince was gone. It's almost like two peas in a pod."
Storm then went on to talk about how the locker room is reportedly much happier now than they've been and this change might only be a more positive step. Saying that there's a huge difference between the ship being run under Triple H and when McMahon and Dunn were in charge, Storm explained:
"As far as Vince and Triple H, one thing I heard somebody say yesterday, who has been a long time, was you know 'one of the big differences is I have never seen Triple H blow his stack over anything. Like not one time ever have I seen him totally flip out.' Vince, he could be a complete maniac sometimes.' They said, 'Not one time. Not one time have I ever seen him have a blow up.' Much easier work environment with ole Vince and Kevin Dunn gone. So it's a new 2024."
That's not exactly a glowing review of how Vince used to manage people. And, when you factor in the high-level role Kevin Dunn had, but there was a tendency never to talk to anyone, that can't help matters. One has to wonder if Vince's absence made Dunn feel like a real outsider and if it contributed at all to his exit.

Alvarez followed up on stories he'd heard, saying, "I've heard all sorts of stories about morale after Vince was gone. People like working under Triple H a heck of a lot more than they did working under ole Vince. That I can tell you." That's a good thing going foward, especially if they know who is still in charge.
There's a difference between being everyone's friend and being approachable, not losing your cool, but also clearly being the boss.
