Big Show came to WWE red-hot from a successful stint in WCW in 1999. However, there were big expectations for The World's Largest Athlete, and it was clear in his first 10 WWE pay-per-view matches, there were glimpses of his best and inexperience.
Big Show became one of WWE's hottest acquisitions in 1999 as Show had a look that was reminiscent of Andre The Giant. It was inevitable that Show would be compared to Andre but Show went on to carve out a successful career of his own.

Moreover, Show has a reputation for having a plethora of babyface and heel turns. He isn't the greatest in-ring performer compared to fellow big men like Undertaker and Kane, but he was certainly no slouch in the ring. Big Show was a dominant figure in his debut year, and he closed out the year with a WWE Championship reign.
10 Big Show Vs. Big Boss Man, Albert, Mideon & Viscera - Survivor Series 1999
At Survivor Series 1999, Big Show competed in a Survivor Series Traditional Elimination match on his lonesome. The odds were stacked against him in a 1-on-4 scenario. Show collided with Big Boss Man, Prince Albert, Mideon, and Viscera.
However, the significant disadvantage did not bother Show in the slightest. Show was in no mood to hang around as he eliminated both Mideon and Albert in quick succession with thunderous Chokeslams. Viscera got body-slammed and Chokeslammed for Show's third elimination. Boss Man wanted no part of Show and got counted out with Show winning in less than two minutes.
9 Big Show Vs. Kane - Rebellion 1999
Big Show and Kane collided three times on pay-per-view in 1999, but their clash at Rebellion was by far the worst. It was a No Disqualification match, and there were hardly any weapons involved in the battle of the two behemoths.
Show grounded Kane with vicious blows to his torso. However, Show introduced a steel chair, and Kane kicked Show in the face with the steel chair. The Big Red Machine prevailed in an underwhelming bout.
8 The Union Vs. The Corporate Ministry - Over The Edge 1999
Big Show, Ken Shamrock, Mankind, and Test formed a short-lived faction called The Union. They proved to be a thorn in The Corporate Ministry's side, and the two factions squared off in an eight-man tag team elimination match at Over The Edge 1999.
This was a hard-hitting match, and both factions were determined to be victorious. Shamrock wore Faarooq down with his patented Ankle Lock, but Show picked up the pieces with a devastating Chokeslam. Show and Viscera got count outed, but The Union was victorious with Mankind locking Big Boss Man in the Mandible Claw.
7 Big Show Vs. Kane - King Of The Ring 1999
The rest of the field would have been delighted to see either Big Show or Kane fall by the wayside in the quarterfinal stage of the 1999 King of the Ring tournament. Both were hellbent on winning the King of the Ring for the first time in their careers.

As expected, it was a hard-hitting match that went back and forth. Hardcore Holly also interfered in the match which had no bearing on the outcome. Ultimately, Kane nailed Show with an earth-shattering chair shot, and the Chokeslam was enough to book his place in the semifinals.
6 Big Show Vs. Kane - Fully Loaded 1999
The following month at Fully Loaded 1999, Big Show and Kane had a rematch once again. However, "The Big Shot" Hardcore Holly was the man in the middle as the special guest referee.
Show displayed his strength earlier on by throwing Kane over the top rope with a military press. Show was dominant throughout the match and he was in cruise control. Moreover, Holly failed to remain impartial as Kane was going for a Chokeslam, Holly chop blocked Kane which allowed Show to prevail with a Chokeslam and a fast count.
5 Big Show Vs. Triple H Vs. The Rock Vs. The British Bulldog Vs. Kane Vs. Mankind - Unforgiven 1999
There was a massive opportunity for Big Show to capture his first WWE Championship in the six-pack challenge for the vacant title at Unforgiven 1999. Show and The British Bulldog were the only two participants that never won the WWE Championship going into the match. Whereas, Triple H, The Rock, Kane, and Mankind had all reached the pinnacle before.
This was a superb WWE Title match, and all six wrestlers had to tag in and out to be the legal man. The Rock was closing in on another WWE Title reign, but Show pulled the special guest referee Stone Cold Steve Austin out of the ring. The Game seized the opportunity and regained his WWE Championship.
4 Big Show Vs. Mankind - WrestleMania XV
Big Show made his WrestleMania debut at WrestleMania XV against Mankind. The winner of this match would go on to referee the blockbuster WWE Championship between The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in the main event.

Show gave a good account of himself on The Grandest Stage of Them All, and he had the size and strength advantage. Show was in a commanding position to prevail, but he got himself disqualified when he Chokeslammed Mankind through a couple of chairs.
3 Big Show Vs. Mankind - Backlash 1999
After the fallout from their affair at WrestleMania XV, Big Show and Mankind had a rematch at Backlash 1999 in a Boiler Room Brawl. Mrs. Foley's Baby Boy was chomping at the bit to face off with Show in a match tailor-made for him.
This was a violent match, and both Big Show and Mankind were bleeding. There were some brutal bumps in this encounter and it was marginally better than their WrestleMania encounter. Despite Test and Big Boss Man interfering to help their fellow Corporation member, Mankind escaped from their clutches and prevailed.
2 Big Show & The Undertaker Vs. X-Pac & Kane - SummerSlam 1999
In the summer of 1999, The Undertaker legitimately took Big Show under his wing, and they formed a formidable Unholy Alliance. The duo challenged X-Pac and Kane for the WWE Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam.
This was an enthralling Tag Team Championship bout, and Show had one of the best performances in his WWE career to date. A lackadaisical cover angered Undertaker, and The Deadman tagged himself in and he wore down X-Pac. Undertaker planted X-Pac with a jaw-dropping Tombstone and captured the WWE Tag Team Titles in the process.
1 Big Show Vs. Triple H Vs. The Rock - Survivor Series 1999
Triple H was supposed to defend the WWE Championship against The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin in a triple threat match at Survivor Series 1999. However, Austin's neck injuries resurfaced, and Big Show stepped in as The Texas Rattlesnake's replacement.
The World's Largest Athlete competed in his second match of the night, and he carried on where he left off. This was a decent triple threat match, but it was a significant night in Show's career as he became the WWE Champion for the first time. The tears flowed in a huge moment for Show.
