WWE has a huge roster at the moment, with the company having given a lot of opportunities to plenty of stars as of late. Some wrestlers have made the most of that, putting together some great performances to grow their names, while others have struggled to make the same impact consistently.

Some members of the roster are talented inside the ring, but they have been struggling as of late. Considering the plethora of talent knocking on the door from NXT, these wrestlers must step up and make some improvements to ensure that they don't lose their spots.

From the moment Austin Theory was put on the main roster he has been pushed massively by the company, but he struggled to connect with fans as a lot of people found him to be bland. Despite that, WWE continued with him and he got a great United States Championship run and even beat John Cena at WrestleMania 39.

However, since that point, he has dropped down the card and struggled to maintain a featured role. That's why he needs to step up and improve once again, and teaming up with Grayson Waller could be the answer to that.

Cross' character is confusing for many people, largely because she tends to just stand and stare at things. There's no explanation and it has led to fans not being as invested in her, which is why improvements must be made next year.

Apollo Crews struggled massively during his first run on the main roster until he took on the Nigerian royalty character which led him to the Intercontinental Championship, but that didn't last. However, he has barely been used since that point once again. Crews seemingly cannot get things going on the main roster, and it's time once again for him to improve and reinvent himself to stay above water.

Indi Hartwell is another wrestler who hasn't made much of an impact since being brought to the main roster, despite her success in NXT. A big reason for that is she hasn't been able to work to the same level as many others in the women's division, which makes her stand out negatively.

Hartwell needs to go back to showcasing her personality which got her over in the first place. Bringing The Way back together and having her compete alongside Candice LeRae could be the way to improve her stature in the company.

6 The New Day Feels Stale

Sometimes when a gimmick lasts for a long time it can end up feeling stale, and that's the case with The New Day right now. While their recent matches against The Viking Raiders were entertaining, the character itself doesn't have the same excitement factor that it once did.

That's simply because they've been around for so long, and that's why it is time for Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to improve again. A potential Big E return could inject some excitement, but it could be time for a slight gimmick change for these excellent wrestlers.

Cameron Grimes managed to get over massively during his time in NXT, going from an effective heel to a very popular babyface. That's something that should have continued on SmackDown, but the creative team has had very little for him to work with.

Grimes hasn't been given much to sink his teeth into which is a shame because he could provide some great entertainment. Considering how little television time he has been receiving it is clear something needs to change for him.

Karrion Kross put together a great run in NXT which left fans very excited about the potential for him on the main roster, but it simply hasn't worked. Despite the fact he has all of the bells and whistles of main roster production, Kross hasn't got over properly.

He has mainly been used to put other people over, often talking in riddles and then not backing it up. That's something WWE needs to change and Kross himself needs to work on, or fans will simply stop caring about his character.

3 Omos Needs To Offer More Than Height

Omos is someone who instantly catches the eye whenever he gets into the ring sheerly due to his imposing size, and that is something he's relied upon throughout his WWE career. The company has tried to help him with MVP becoming his manager, but it still hasn't been enough to make him feel engaging.

WWE has barely used him throughout the second half of 2023, and that's not a position that any wrestler wants to find themselves in. Improvements are necessary for him to change that up and try to follow in the footsteps of other former giants such as Big Show.

Jinder Mahal was once at the top of the wrestling industry as WWE Champion, but nowadays he's someone who cannot get on television. Mahal might not have been popular holding WWE's top prize, but his most recent role as a manager for Indus Sher proved to be entertaining.

He did a great job in NXT, but on the main roster, they haven't got going as a team which is a missed opportunity. However, Mahal does need to make some adjustments to ensure he doesn't get lost in the shuffle throughout 2024.

Anyone who has ever watched Cedric Alexander is well aware of the fact he is a fantastic wrestler, capable of putting on some amazing matches. However, he rarely gets the chance to display that in WWE which is a huge waste of his skillset.

Ever since the Hurt Business disbanded he has struggled to find a place on the roster, and that's why he must make some improvements. A return to NXT where he would be granted more in-ring time could be something for him to push for.
