Adam Cole is no longer with WWE, but his rivalry with Pat McAfee is still going strong, with Cole referring to the SmackDown commentator as “a real jerk” in a recent interview.
The two took part in a feud that began when Cole was a guest on The Pat McAfee show in 2020. Cole absolutely lost it after McAfee laughed at his claiming to be the King of NXT, and they would face each other in a match at TakeOver XXX.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, Cole had lots of great things to say about McAfee, calling him a natural talent. He would also admit that he can’t stand the announcer, who he thinks is a jerk.
“As much as I can’t stand the guy, you know, Pat is a very, very talented person,” Cole remarked. “Very charismatic, has the gift of gab for days. He really respects pro wrestling a lot, he really does. As far as being a student of the game and watching it and respecting it, he’s the best when it comes to that. So yeah, but getting the chance to do any sort of program with someone who’s a non-wrestler, was very, very fun."
“It was such a compliment for them to trust me with that role of getting to be in there with Pat. So he’s, again as far as someone being such a natural when it comes to this job, oh my goodness. Yeah. It’s unbelievable. He’s a real jerk, but he’s a natural."
McAfee's Becoming A Top Name In Wrestling
Cole and McAfee also squared up at WarGames in 2020, but the commentator has gone on to feature in some high-profile matches since his debut against Cole. He beat Theory at WrestleMania 38 this year and immediately went at it With Vince McMahon.
He might be set for a match against Happy Corbin at SummerSlam.
