Bret "The Hitman" Hart and Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart formed one of the most respected tag teams in WWE history. The Hart Foundation had excellent chemistry as Hart and Neidhart were brothers-in-law in real life. They were originally heels with Jimmy Hart as their manager, but once they turned babyface, the tandem became one of the most popular teams. Two WWE Tag Team Championship reigns to their name saw the Hart Foundation rightfully inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019. It was a posthumous induction for Neidhart, but his daughter Natalya represented him and the family nevertheless. The Hart Foundation have battled against some legendary tag teams, and they matched up well with those teams, creating some memorable matches over the years.

13 The Hart Foundation Vs. The Rougeau Brothers - WWE On NESN 3/7/87 (6.43)
The Hart Foundation defended the WWE Tag Team Championship against the Rougeau Brothers on March 7, 1987 in the Boston Arena. This was a solid tag team match between two teams who had good chemistry together.
Hart sold the Rougeaus' offense like a million bucks which demonstrated how good he was. Danny Davis who was in the Hart Foundation's corner alongside Jimmy Hart, got involved in the closing stages of the match. The Hart Foundation retained their titles with a small package all thanks to Davis.
12 The Dream Team Vs. The Million Dollar Team - Survivor Series 1990 (6.63)
Unfortunately, Bret Hart's brother Dean tragically passed away 24 hours before he competed at Survivor Series 1990. Hart alongside his brother-in-law Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart were the reigning WWE Tag Team Champions and sided with Dusty Rhodes and Koko B. Ware. They clashed with Ted DiBiase, The Honky Tonk Man, Greg Valentine, and a debuting The Undertaker in a four-on-four traditional Survivor Series elimination match.
This match was Undertaker's debut and also was the first in-ring interaction was with the Hitman. Neidhart eliminated The Honky Tonk Man, and Neidhart was eliminated by the Million Dollar Man. Hart eliminated Valentine from the match which left Hart and DiBiase as the final two participants. Hart and DiBiase had some good exchanges, but the Million Dollar Man prevailed after he reversed Hart's crossbody with a pin.
11 The Hart Foundation Vs. The Rockers - Saturday Night's Main Event 4/28/90 (6.72)
The Hart Foundation and The Rockers developed a strong rivalry with competitive matches. Their encounter on the April 28, 1990 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event was another excellent match between the pair. However, Demolition made their presence felt at ringside.
Bret was momentarily distracted which allowed the Rockers to get back into the match. Fans were red-hot throughout which created a brilliant atmosphere. Ultimately, the match was ruled as a no-contest with Ax and Smash battling both teams.
10 The Hart Foundation Vs. The Killer Bees - WWE On MSG Network 2/17/86 (6.78)
The Killer Bees consisted of "Jumpin'" Jim Brunzell and Brian Blair, and they were an underrated tag team in the '80s. Time limit draws were a thing in WWE, and the Hart Foundation and the Killer Bees were victims of that in their barnburner of a wrestling match at WWE on MSG Network on February 17, 1986.

This was tag team wrestling at its finest with both teams giving it their all. The Killer Bees were closing to picking up the win but the match ended at 20 minutes, which protected both teams.
9 20-Man Tag Team Survivor Series Elimination Match - Survivor Series 1987 (6.94)
The inaugural Survivor Series took place in 1987, and the Hart Foundation was involved in a 20-man tag team Survivor Series elimination match. The Hart Foundation teamed up with Demolition, the Bolsheviks, the Islanders, and the Dream Team.
Reigning WWE Tag Team Champions Strike Force led their team into the battle. The action was enthralling, and it was tag team wrestling at its finest. Unfortunately, the Hart Foundation didn't reach the end but they banked 31 minutes with Jim Brunzell removing Bret from the equation, which led to both members being eliminated.
8 20-Man Tag Team Survivor Series Elimination Match - Survivor Series 1988 (6.99)
For the second consecutive year, the Hart Foundation was involved in a 20-man tag team Survivor Series elimination match in 1988. The Hart Foundation and The Rockers were on the same team, which is crazy to think about, considering the history between Hart and Michaels in later years.
The Hitman got his team off to a perfect start as he rolled up Raymond Rougeau. Once again, it was another high-level match that delivered. Moreover, Tully Blanchard was smart to keep his shoulders up, when Bret nailed him with a German suplex. Hart's shoulders were down, and the Hart Foundation was no longer involved in the match.
7 The Hart Foundation Vs. The Brain Busters - SummerSlam 1989 (7.06)
SummerSlam 1989 kicked off breathtakingly with the Hart Foundation battling the Brain Busters. Surprisingly, Tully Blanchard and Arn Anderson's WWE Tag Team Titles were not at stake. Both teams were at the top of their games with the Hart Foundation proving to be a popular duo with the fans.

Bobby "The Brain" Heenan was in the corner of the Brain Busters and he proved to be the difference-maker. The Enforcer hit Bret with a double ax handle, and Blanchard pinned the Hitman to ensure that his team would keep up their momentum.
6 The Hart Foundation Vs. The British Bulldogs - Saturday Night's Main Event 5/2/87 (7.09)
The Hart Foundation and the British Bulldogs were fighting over the WWE Tag Team Championship in a two-out-of-three falls match. The Bulldogs came out of the blocks fast, but the Anvil halted their momentum. The Bulldogs won the first fall by disqualification.
The atmosphere was electric in their competitive match on the May 2, 1987 edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. Despite the Bulldogs winning two straight falls, they did not win the WWE Tag Team Championship as the first fall was won by disqualification, and the Harts ran back into the locker room with their titles.
5 The Hart Foundation Vs. The British Bulldogs - WWE On MSG Network 7/25/87 (7.14)
The Hart Foundation and the British Bulldogs' rivalry was intense, and their matches were exceptional. All four were members of the Hart Family which brought them closer. The Hart Foundation's WWE Tag Team Championship was on the line, and they closed out Madison Square Garden on July 25, 1987.
The British Bulldogs were hellbent on regaining their titles, but the Hart Foundation nullified the Bulldogs' powers by being tactically astute. They isolated Dynamite Kid who was unable to tag in Bulldog. Nevertheless, Hart kicked out of Bulldog's patented running powerslam. The Hart Foundation clung to their titles by the skin of their teeth.
4 The Hart Foundation Vs. The British Bulldogs - WWE On MSG Network 9/23/85 (7.14)
The Hart Foundation and The British Bulldogs were inseperable in the 1980s, and they were at loggerheads on September 23, 1985 when they were pitted with each other inside the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden. The Hart Foundation were the heels here, and it was another solid encounter between the two tag teams.

This tag team match was an instant classic, and Hart was close to securing the win for his team after he did a double team with Neidhart, but The Dynamite Kid flew off the top rope and he splashed Hart with the British Bulldogs triumphant.
3 The Hart Foundation Vs. Demolition - SummerSlam 1990 (7.25)
The feud between the Hart Foundation and Demolition was always competitive. For the second time in three years, the teams squared off at SummerSlam. However, at the 1990 edition of the event, Crush replaced Ax, and their battle was a two-out-of-three falls match for the WWE Tag Team Championship.
Unquestionably, it was the best match of the night, and both teams managed to level the scores at 1-1. Ax attempted to give his team the advantage but the Road Warriors intervened. Nevertheless, the Hart Foundation went home happy as they regained the WWE Tag Team Championship.
2 The Hart Foundation Vs. The Rockers - WWE On MSG Network 11/25/89 (7.50)
Once The Hart Foundation and The Rockers got used to each other's wrestling styles, their matches captivated the audience. The Rockers were the flashier of the two teams with their aerial style of wrestling, but the Anvil dominated with his power, and Hart's technical wrestling skills were unrivaled.
Their collision course on November 25, 1989, inside Madison Square Garden, was another barnburner of a match. There was no definitive winner as the match went to a 20-minute time limit draw but both teams gave everything in this contest.
1 The Hart Foundation Vs. Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, And The Legion of Doom - In Your House: Canadian Stampede, 1997 (8.90)
The Hart Foundation received one of the best hometown receptions in WWE history. Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart, Owen Hart, The British Bulldog, and Brian Pillman were heels but they had a babyface reaction in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. This 10-man tag team match at In Your House: Canadian Stampede in July 1997 was one of the best.
Steve Austin, Ken Shamrock, Goldust, and the Legion of Doom gave it their best shot, but they were booed by the Canadian fans. The wrestling was exceptional, and Owen picked up the win for the newly-minted Hart Foundation as he rolled up Austin. Afterward, the Hart Foundation celebrated with their family in the ring.
