After the amazing return to the ring of the legendary Edge in early 2020, fans have been re-visiting his greatest moments in preparation for his return to action at this year's WrestleMania.

In WWE, Edge has held a world championship 11 times throughout the course of his career and each one has had a different story to go alongside it: Some have been reigns fitting of someone holding the 10 pounds of gold, while others have come up a bit too short. Let's take a look at Edge's 10 greatest world title reigns (excluding his final reign, which ended prematurely due to his retirement).
10 WWE Championship, 4th reign
By 2009, Edge was a certified main-eventer, although he felt a bit like a third wheel by the time he held his fourth WWE title. Edge's victory at Royal Rumble 2009 came at the expense of Jeff Hardy, but the real story was Jeff's brother Matt betraying him and costing him the belt.
Edge held onto it for exactly 3 weeks before being the first man eliminated in the first Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out in February, a sudden and somewhat flat ending for a reign that didn't have many legs to it.
9 WWE Championship, 1st reign
Edge's first run with the title wasn't exactly one befitting a top guy, but it served to be his foot in the door to the main event. Edge was the first to use a Money In The Bank contract to gain a shot at the championship and took advantage of a worn-out John Cena, pinning him at New Year's Revolution 2006 to win the big one.

Edge defended the belt once against Ric Flair on Raw before dropping it back to Cena weeks later, ending the reign at a mere 21 days.
8 WWE Championship, 3rd reign
Edge was all too familiar with the 3-week mark in his WWE Championship reign, as three of the four ended at that point.
This one began at Survivor Series 2009 with his big return to action, replacing Jeff Hardy in a triple threat match also involving Triple H and the powerful Russian, Vladimir Kozlov. Edge's return was a success as he won the title, but he would drop the belt to Jeff Hardy only a month later at Armageddon in another triple threat after another very short run on top.
7 World Heavyweight Championship, 4th reign
No Way Out 2009 was a night of both loss and glory for Edge. Although he lost his WWE Championship in the night's first Elimination Chamber match, he stole the spot of Kofi Kingston in the second Chamber match and went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship in a real shocker.
Edge held onto the belt for 48 days only to lose in a triple threat at Wrestlemania to John Cena, but his win in the Chamber is still talked about as one of his most memorable moments.
6 World Heavyweight Championship, 3rd reign
This reign with Smackdown's top prize began with a big win over The Undertaker in Edge's signature match, TLC.

Edge parlayed this success into a successful retention over career rival Batista the next month at Night of Champions 2009, but it all ended the next night on Raw after a young CM Punk cashed in his own Money In The Bank contract and pinned Edge to win the championship. Although Edge's third run with the belt ended abruptly, it was a notable run for both how it was won and how it ended.
5 World Heavyweight Championship, 5th reign
Although Edge lost his world title at Wrestlemania XXV in a match featuring John Cena and Big Show, he wasted little time in regaining it the next month at Backlash in spectacular fashion.
Edge shocked the world by defeating Cena in a Last Man Standing match (albeit with help from Big Show) to retain his title, a result that fans thought was slanted toward Cena. Edge added one more retention to the record against Jeff Hardy at Judgment Day before ultimately losing to Hardy at Extreme Rules in a ladder match.
4 World Heavyweight Championship, 6th reign
In another big win in his signature match, Edge defeated the likes of Kane, Rey Mysterio, and Alberto Del Rio to win the title yet again at the end of 2010.

This win set the record for World Heavyweight Championship victories at six and brought Edge's world title reigns into the double digits. Edge's penultimate world title reign was also marked by victories over Kane and Dolph Ziggler before he was stripped of the title by a vindictive Vickie Guerrero. Edge's last "proper" reign before his retirement was one to remember.
3 World Heavyweight Championship, 1st reign
The very first time Edge held the top prize on Smackdown was buzzworthy. After defeating Mr. Kennedy for his Money In The Bank briefcase, Edge swooped in against a weary Undertaker to win the big gold belt for the first time, effectively switching brands and becoming champion.
Edge would run roughshod over Smackdown for 70 days with three big PPV title retentions against Batista before unfortunately suffering an injury that forced him to relinquish the belt. Edge would taste that gold time and again after this and became practically synonymous with the World Heavyweight Championship.
2 WWE Championship, 2nd reign
After losing his first world title to John Cena in relatively short fashion, Edge had to wait for seven months before winning it back in a rare world title switch on TV. Edge won a triple threat against Cena and champion Rob Van Dam to win the title; from there, Edge entered into one of his most notable feuds against Cena which included a big retention at Summerslam and several memorable segments on Raw.
Edge lost the belt in his signature TLC match at Unforgiven but showed he was around the main event scene to stay.
1 World Heavyweight Championship, 2nd reign
Edge's second time holding the World Heavyweight Championship would be his greatest and introduced more big wrinkles to his character. Edge won the belt at Armageddon thanks to interference from Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins, then went on to marry Vickie Guerrero and start the "La Familia" stable that reigned as top Smackdown heels in 2008.
This reign also led to Edge's only true Wrestlemania main event where he lost the belt to The Undertaker, but in turn, cemented his legacy as one of WWE's top performers of the 2000s.
