10 Hulk Hogan Complained To Vince About Sid Getting Cheers
Hulk Hogan had a reputation for trying to hurt the careers of anyone he viewed as a threat to his top spot. Sid Vicious claimed that Hogan tried to sabotage him during their 1992 feud heading into the WrestleMania VIII main event.

The ’92 Royal Rumble match saw Sid cleanly eliminate Hogan, and Hogan forcing Sid’s elimination in sore loser fashion. Sid claimed that Hogan complained to Vince McMahon that Sid was trying to get cheers when fans naturally started booing Hogan for such an act.
9 Was Blacklisted For Bloody Fight With Arn Anderson
The infamous hotel fight between Sid Vicious and Arn Anderson saw the former Four Horsemen teammates stabbing each other with a pair of scissors. Sid stabbed Anderson 20 times leading to both wrestlers having to spend time in the hospital.
WCW fired Sid during the first year of his contract for being the bigger aggressor in the horrible situation. Sid was blacklisted from WCW and WWE for about two years. WWE reached out in 1995 when desperately needing more relevant names, but the punishment for the Arn fight hurt his career.
8 Talked WCW Into Hiring Harlem Heat

The strangest story about Sid Vicious was the urban legend of him having a pet squirrel he traveled with from city to city. Various wrestlers claimed that Sid enjoyed the squirrel the same way one would have a pet cat or dog.
The oddest part of the story came when Sid was dared into putting the squirrel in his pants by the rest of the locker room to show his toughness. Sid ended up regretting it due to the squirrel scratching places one would not want to be scratched by a wild animal.
6 Skipped WWE House Shows For Softball Games
The unreliability of Sid Vicious was what held him back from achieving even more success as a top star. Another urban legend was confirmed that Sid often skipped house shows whenever he wanted to play in a softball game.
Jim Ross confirmed it on his podcast that Sid had a stronger passion for softball, and it played a huge part in him skipping out on a handful of house shows. It became a running joke that Sid missing an event was due to softball, with some truth to the words.
5 Paul Heyman Wanted Him To Become The Face Of ECW
Sid Vicious dominated the ECW roster during his time in the company. Many fans were shocked Paul Heyman pushed Sid that hard since he didn’t like to prioritize wrestlers from WWE or WCW over his homegrown stars.

4 Lied About Travel Ban To Skip Indie Show
Independent promotion AIW booked Sid Vicious with the hopes of a former WWE/WCW legend attracting some interest. The promoter leaked a phone call that confirmed another absurd story involving Sid.
It was another instance of Sid no-showing an event, but he came up with a unique excuse. Sid claimed that Donald Trump’s travel ban prevented him from flying to the event even though there were no restrictions on Americans flying from one state to another.
3 Turned Down "Hogan Push" In WWE For Huge WCW Contract
Sid Vicious claimed that he had Vince McMahon’s promise that he would get the biggest push in the company during contract negotiations in 1993. The term “Hogan push” was used to declare Sid getting the chance to become the face of WWE.
WCW heard about this and reached out with a bigger financial offer of $750,000 which was one of the top deals at the time. Sid considered this the biggest mistake of his career since he was fired by WCW the same year and never received the top spot in WWE again.
2 Legendary Flair/Vader match Was Meant To Be Sid vs Vader
The firing of Sid Vicious by WCW in 1993 completely changed the landscape. WCW was planning to have Sid vs Vader in the main event of the company’s biggest even Starrcade. The firing forced WCW to make huge changes.
Ric Flair was over as a face when returning to WCW from the short WWE run. The new plan saw Flair feuding with Vader and having one of the best matches in WCW history in the Starrcade 1993 main event. This was never in the plans until the Sid debacle unfolded. If Sid didn't have that brutal backstage altercation with Arn Anderson, which got him fired, Vader and Flair wouldn't have headlined the 1993 edition of Starrcade.
1 Bray Wyatt Flipped Him Off As A Kid In The WCW Locker Room
Bray Wyatt recently shared a wild story about his tension with Sid Vicious in his childhood. Wyatt’s father Mike Rotunda was in WCW when Bray came to a show with him. Sid grew upset with Bray being too loud when playing with a Rocketeer toy.
The claim of Wyatt was that he responded by flipping off Sid. Things escalated even more when Sid broke the toy to send a message to the kid. Bray becoming a top WWE star was the ultimate revenge as he was able to share the story and tell off Sid all these years later.
